The award winning 58.03m sail yacht Ethereal was delivered to her owners in 2009 by Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Pieter Beeldsnijder Design, while Ron Holland Design is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Semi-alfresco pilothouse for meals
  • Interior with mahogany and natural fabrics
  • Full-beam master suite
  • Foredeck transforms into cushioned Moroccan tent

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 11.4m beam and a 4.9m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 480 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2006. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Ethereal's exterior design prioritizes guest comfort and functionality. The yacht offers several areas for relaxation, socializing, and dining with ocean views. Most meals are served in the semi-alfresco pilothouse. For a more casual dining option, the foredeck tender-well transforms into a cushioned area beneath a Moroccan tent. This space can also serve as a secluded spot when docked or for a massage.

The Ron Holland hull, styled by Pieter Beeldsnijder, features a sheer line that rises gently to the bow and balanced overhangs. The stern includes a classic retroussé design, which conceals a drop-down bathing platform.

Her ketch rig, towering over the clean and uncluttered decks, is a focal point of the yacht's design. The deck saloon structure is well-proportioned, maintaining a sleek and understated profile. The decks are designed for practical use, without unnecessary embellishments, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency.

Stainless steel arms carry the crew tender above the stern, allowing the bathing platform to be utilized even when the tender is in place. This practical design ensures the yacht's exterior remains functional and accessible.

Interior Design

The interior design of Ethereal is centered around creating functional and inviting spaces for family and friends. The yacht's interior is highlighted by the use of mahogany and natural fabrics, providing a warm and clean aesthetic.

The deckhouse salon offers panoramic views and serves as a comfortable space for relaxation. The media room is designed for entertainment, equipped for movie watching. The lower salon features a musical enclave with an electric piano, allowing guests to enjoy live music or practice their skills.

Accommodation

Ethereal provides accommodation for up to ten guests across five well-appointed cabins. The highlight is the full-beam master suite, which offers a writing desk, an intimate seating area, and a full-sized Scandinavian sauna in the ensuite. Direct access to the aft cockpit, complete with oversized sun pads, enhances the convenience and comfort for the master suite occupants.

In addition to the owner suite, Ethereal has four guest cabins. Each cabin is thoughtfully designed to offer a comfortable and inviting space for guests. The cabins feature twin or double beds, en-suite bathrooms, and sufficient storage, ensuring that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay.

She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-18) 714hp engines, motor yacht Ethereal is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots.
