Royal Huisman's ambitious sportsfisher project, now known as SPECIAL ONE, has officially received its name prior to embarking on its inaugural sea trials in the North Sea.
This groundbreaking 500GT superyacht, with a commanding 52m (171ft) LOA and six expansive decks, has gained the title of the largest fishing yacht ever built.
Designed to cater to the tastes of an avid fishing enthusiast, Vripack Yacht Design was entrusted with both the exterior and interior design as well as the naval architecture. Furthermore, SPECIAL ONE has been crafted with a distinctive profile featuring a sweeping bow and towering bulwarks leading to an uncluttered cockpit aft. The interior is yet to be unveiled, however.
The gargantuan observation tower also offers views of the surrounding waters, providing both practical functionality for specialized fishing and an exquisite viewing platform for guests to witness the action below. Additionally, an array of specialist and tailored gear can be found onboard for targeting large predatory fish.
Built using an Alustar aluminum hull and superstructure, the new yacht benefits from added strength and durability while maintaining a lightweight construction.
Over 350 experts and skilled co-makers were involved in creating SPECIAL ONE, representing Royal Huisman’s exceptional craftsmanship and technical expertise in this sector.
