Royal Huisman's 52m sportfisher PROJECT 406 nearing launch

The imminent launch of the 52m (171ft) superyacht PROJECT 406, crafted by Royal Huisman in Vollenhove, the Netherlands, marks a significant milestone in the world of sportfishers.

Designed by Vripack Yacht Design, this exceptional vessel is set to become the largest true sportfisher yacht globally, featuring an impressive interior volume of 500GT across its six decks.

PROJECT 406

Built to deliver "both high-end sportfishing and luxurious living,” PROJECT 406 showcases an elongated bow and high bulwarks, leading to a low cockpit aft. The yacht's distinctive high tower not only offers panoramic views for guests but also incorporates a specialized downward angle, enhancing the onboard fishing experience. This bespoke creation perfectly balances superyacht luxury with excellent fishing capabilities, providing an extraordinary fusion of size, comfort, and angling ability.

Vripack Yacht Design, responsible for both exterior and interior design, has yet to unveil the intricacies of PROJECT 406's interior. The aluminum yacht is equipped with cutting-edge gear tailored for hunting larger predatory fish, including swordfish and marlin. The tower provides a strategic viewing platform for the dedicated fishing area aft, complemented by laser-powered exterior lighting for captivating nighttime operations.
