Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.03m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 349 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Grand Illusion features a clipper bow, providing a classic yet functional aesthetic. The deck is constructed from teak, known for its durability and resistance to the elements. Both the hull and superstructure are finished in a pristine white, creating a clean and cohesive look. For contrast, the boot top and below the spec areas are painted black.

The sundeck is designed for both leisure and dining. It includes a circular sofa for alfresco meals and casual relaxation. The sundeck also features a Jacuzzi at the bow, accommodating large groups for evening cocktails under the stars. The aft section of the sundeck provides additional lounging options to enjoy the warmth of locations like the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

For water activities, the yacht is well-equipped with two kayaks, a windsurfer, a wakeboard, water skis, scuba diving equipment, fishing gear, and towable toys. There is also gym equipment available for guests who wish to maintain their fitness routine while on board.

Interior Design

The Grand Illusion's interior design employs a sophisticated color palette of white, silver, and gold. This choice of colors enhances the spaciousness of the main salon. The main salon features comfortable sofas and a formal dining table that can seat up to 8 guests. The dining area is suited for hosting three-course meals in a refined setting.

Accommodation

Grand Illusion offers accommodation for up to 11 guests in 5 well-appointed cabins. The master suite is located on the main deck and features a spacious en suite bathroom equipped with a bath, shower, and his-and-her heads. On the lower deck, there are four additional en suite cabins. These include two double cabins and two twin cabins, each designed to ensure the utmost comfort and privacy for all guests.

The yacht is staffed by an excellent crew of 9, who are dedicated to providing attentive and professional service throughout the charter. The crew accommodations are separate, ensuring that guests have complete privacy during their stay.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Detroit Diesel (16 V 92 TA) 1,399hp engines, motor yacht Grand Illusion is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 51,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,455 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
