  • Atriums on three levels
  • Sea-level gym/beach club
  • Jacuzzi, sunpads & bar on sun deck
  • 3,100 nautical mile range, top speed of 23 knots

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.48m beam and a 2.13m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 497 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in June 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2022.

Exterior Design

Book Ends presents a sporty profile characterized by a sharply tapered bow, prominent orange bootstripe, and gracefully arching aft decks. Designed with performance in mind, Heesen has optimized the yacht's 50M Aluminum class with a shallower draft, achieving a 12 percent increase in efficiency.

Book Ends' exterior spaces are thoughtfully arranged to enhance the on-water lifestyle. The hardtop sun deck serves as the primary communal area, featuring lounge seating at the fore, a Jacuzzi and sunpads to the aft, complemented by a centrally located bar and dining space. This layout invites both leisure and entertainment against the backdrop of the open sea.

The upper deck offers a walkaround experience with expansive guest seating on the foredeck, sheltered by a sizeable Bimini shade for comfort. On the main deck aft, additional sunpads provide a spot for relaxation and sunbathing, creating a versatile space for different times of day and activities.

Color is used strategically throughout the yacht, with the owner's signature orange evident in various elements such as deck umbrellas, creating a unique and personal touch.

Book Ends also boasts a flexible beach club area at the stern, which can easily transition between a gym, lounge, or entertainment space, depending on the time of day or desired use. This multi-purpose design reflects the yacht's adaptability and focus on maximizing the enjoyment of its marine environment.

Storage for the tender and water scooter is incorporated into the beach club/tender garage, with a transom door featuring a sliding system for efficient launching.

Interior Design

The saloon presents an imaginative layout where curved bulkheads delineate the lounge from the dining area, creating distinct zones without disrupting the flow of the space. This thoughtful design is enhanced by oversized windows which bathe the interior in natural light, highlighting the quality of the materials and craftsmanship throughout.

In terms of materials, a noteworthy feature within the skylounge is the carpeting, incorporating real silver balls for a subtle shimmer that complements the natural light. Additionally, the main stairwell is an architectural feature in its own right, with atriums on all three levels that add to the feeling of openness and continuity between decks.

The dining area is anchored by a significant lighting piece, a chandelier from a noted glass artist, which serves as a focal point while providing ambient lighting. This area is designed to facilitate an elegant dining experience, with a layout that allows for guest interaction and service flow.

Accommodation

Book Ends presents a sophisticated living arrangement for up to twelve guests across her five staterooms, comprising an owner's cabin located on the main deck, two double cabins and two twin cabins.

The principal suite, located on the main deck forward, offers a heightened level of privacy and comfort, complete with expansive windows that invite an abundance of natural light. Guests are treated to a space that is both elegant and tranquil, ideal for rest and relaxation.

On the lower deck, four additional suites provide spacious and comfortable quarters for guests. Each cabin is thoughtfully designed to ensure a serene environment, with attention to detail that affords a restful stay for all who come aboard.

Book Ends is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
