Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 29'2" beam and a 9'8" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 491 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in April 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

King Benji features a hot/cold plunge pool on the bow, a unique custom creation by Headhunter. This innovative pool incorporates a removable divider, allowing for temperature variation on either side, offering guests a tailored swimming experience. The ability to maintain one side of the pool at a refreshing 6°C and the other at a warm 30°C showcases the yacht's commitment to guest comfort and the technical ingenuity behind its design.

The aft deck is another area where design and functionality converge. It houses a massive crane capable of lifting up to 10 tonnes, illustrating the yacht's readiness for adventure and exploration without compromising on style. This space transforms into a stylish living area with custom furniture when water toys are deployed, illustrating the yacht's versatile design.

Access to the yacht's crow's nest is via a comfortable ladder with solid handrails from the bridge deck, offering guests a unique vantage point and further highlighting the yacht's thoughtful design considerations. The crow's nest itself is a testament to the yacht's commitment to providing guests with exceptional experiences, offering unparalleled views in a secure and accessible manner.

The exterior spaces of King Benji are designed to blend seamlessly with the interior, with 12 wide-opening doors and large windows that nearly disappear into the superstructure. This design choice not only enhances the yacht's open and airy feel but also facilitates a natural flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing guests to move freely and enjoy the yacht's amenities to their fullest.

Interior Design

The interior design of King Benji integrates high-quality materials and thoughtful lighting to create an inviting atmosphere. The main saloon and sky lounge feature flush sill-less sliding doors on all three sides, allowing natural light to flood the interior spaces and offering expansive views of the surrounding seascape. The use of rustic oak tables and bamboo headliners, hand-knotted by Ulutas artisans, introduces an element of natural beauty and texture to the dining areas. These spaces are designed to be versatile, suitable for both formal dining and casual gatherings.

King Benji has an extensive use of natural wood, leather, and bamboo throughout its interior. The flooring in several areas is made from dark textured wood, complementing the urban jungle-inspired wallpaper and the concentric rope twists adorning mirrors. The galley stands out for its airy feel, with natural wood ceilings, stainless steel appliances, and black marble countertops. A significant window and a large pantry enhance the space's functionality, while an interactive workspace opens to a breakfast nook, offering views and making meal preparation an inclusive part of the guest experience.

Lighting throughout King Benji is carefully considered to enhance the ambiance and functionality of each space. Soft, indirect lighting complements the natural daylight entering through the large windows and sliding doors, while task lighting in the galley and dining areas ensures these spaces are both beautiful and practical.

Accommodation

The owner's suite is prominently located on the upper deck and includes exclusive access to the aft deck. This prime positioning allows for extraordinary 180-degree views. The suite is distinguished by its unique bed, which gives the impression of being carved from a single block of wood while behind the headboard there is jungle-inspired wallpaper. The attention to detail is evident in the decor, with rope twists decorating the mirror and a bamboo-covered ceiling, complemented by dark textured wood flooring.

King Benji offers accommodation for guests in four superior guest cabins. These cabins are adorned with natural woods and nautical-themed wallpapers. The wallpapers feature motifs of sea forests, octopus, fish, and seabirds, bringing the ocean's essence indoors. The guest ensuites are equally impressive, finished with mosaic navy blue tiles that have an ombre effect in certain areas, providing a luxurious and calming atmosphere.

King Benji is also capable of carrying up to 12 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. This includes the captain's quarters and a cabin specifically designed for the chef and steward, located on the forward end of the main deck.
