Alia Yachts Lays Keel for 43m Project TRIPLE X Explorer Yacht

Designed by Vripack, the all-new explorer will be capable of navigating ice and adapting to hot climates, while also offering superyacht amenities including a full-beam owner's suite and a spacious lazarette for water toys.

Alia Yachts has started construction on the new 43-meter explorer yacht Project TRIPLE X designed by Vripack. With the keel laid, the build will now progress toward a custom yacht that blends rugged exploration capabilities with refined, stylish design.

The new explorer yacht is being built for American owners transitioning from production yachts to their first custom yacht and explorer model. According to Vripack co-creative director Marnix Hoekstra, "The client's wish is to explore the world with no limitations. They asked for a sexy, sporty explorer, and I believe that is exactly what Project TRIPLE X is — capable of going through ice, adaptable in hot climates, and super comfortable at sea."

Vripack’s integrated design philosophy allows for an optimized layout that uses space efficiently. Initially conceptualized as a 40-meter platform, the motor yacht was extended to 43 meters to accommodate extra features such as a walk-in closet, expanded engine room, and a spacious lazarette for ample storage of water toys.

A successful design solution comes about when interior, exterior, and naval architecture are addressed collectively, rather than individually."

Explorer yacht Project TRIPLE X offers a full-beam owner’s suite with a private office and deck, located on the bridge deck aft. Below deck, there are four additional guest suites, while the yacht’s crew accommodations support a staff of 10. On the exterior, smooth lines and soft curves lend the new yacht a relaxed yet assertive look, with features like an extended bow and aft-leaning superstructure.

Another standout feature is an 8-meter beachlander tender from X-Craft, strategically positioned on the main deck to avoid the need for towing. When the tender is launched, bulwarks convert into a veranda with direct access to an open dining area and gym, enhancing the yacht's versatility.

Construction of Project TRIPLE X began in July 2024, marked by the first steel cutting.
