Key Features

  • Aft beach platform for easy ocean access
  • Sundeck with fridge and ice maker
  • Bow storage for larger water toys
  • Master stateroom with circular windows

Design & Construction

Designed around a modified v-hull aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 24'5" beam and a 6'6" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 223 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the seventh yacht built on the PJ 120 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Crafted by the renowned design house of Nuvolari-Lenard, this yacht's profile is characterized by a distinctive aft section that rises gently towards the bow. This elegant slope is not merely a visual element; it serves a practical purpose by incorporating a spacious beach platform. This platform is sufficiently wide to accommodate sun pads or to facilitate effortless boarding from a tender without the need for crew assistance.

The aft deck, an extension of the beach platform, is a versatile space designed for outdoor relaxation and entertainment. It features ample room for sunbathing, while a retractable shade provides relief for guests sensitive to sunlight. The deck also lifts to reveal substantial storage capacity, large enough to hold water toys like sea bobs, alongside other necessary equipment such as mooring lines and fenders.

Moving forward, the yacht's bow area includes additional sunbathing space, which also lifts to stow larger water toys such as jet skis. This area is currently utilized by the crew for storing provisions in preparation for voyages.

The uppermost aft section presents an ideal setting for al fresco dining. The extendable table adapts to the number of guests and the nature of the gathering, with convenient access to a fridge and ice maker. For added comfort, an electrically operated canopy extends overhead to offer protection from the sun.

The sundeck is a private retreat designed for enjoying time with friends or solitary relaxation. It features its own fridge and ice maker, minimizing the need for crew interaction. Guests can appreciate the additional sunbathing area and the yacht's capacity to host a considerable number of attendees for special events.

The yacht's exterior also includes an ingeniously designed stair system that leads to the sundeck. The upper section of the stairs lifts to close the entryway to the sundeck, while the lower section rolls over to provide an expanded surface area for serving drinks or food during aft deck dining experiences.

Throughout Kjos, the choice of materials, the strategic use of space, and the integration of practical design elements work together to create an environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional for guests.

Interior Design

The main salon features a combination of rich wenge wood and soft fabric upholstery, which are complemented by contemporary lighting fixtures that enhance the space with a warm and inviting glow.

The dining area within the main salon is designed for practicality and flexibility. The main dining table is an extendable piece, allowing for various configurations to accommodate different group sizes. The proximity of the dining space to the lounge area contributes to a cohesive social environment where guests can effortlessly transition between dining and relaxation.

In the lounge area, the integration of the television into the wenge wood unit serves as a focal point, doubling as a coffee table and entertainment feature. This intelligent use of space and furniture ensures the area remains uncluttered while providing functionality and comfort.

The helm is a secured area, intentionally separated from the guest zones for operational efficiency. The bridge offers quick access to both starboard and port side decks, allowing the crew to perform their duties with minimal intrusion into the guest areas.

The galley, situated away from the guest quarters, is compact yet well-equipped to manage the culinary needs of charters and private voyages alike.

Accommodation

Accommodations aboard the yacht Kjos are designed to cater to the comfort and privacy of its guests, offering a well-appointed environment for up to eight guests across four staterooms.

The master suite serves as the highlight of the guest accommodations. It is equipped with a king-sized bed and features a distinguished design that includes a trio of circular windows, allowing for ample natural light and views of the sea. The suite is complemented by extensive wardrobe space, a sizable television, and a dedicated beauty cabinet. The en-suite bathroom offers a spacious shower and distinctive sinks that enhance the suite's luxurious feel.

Adjacent to the master suite, there are two VIP cabins, each furnished with a queen-sized bed. These cabins mirror the yacht's overarching theme of comfort and privacy, providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Adequate storage and entertainment options, such as television screens, are standard in these rooms, alongside beautifully appointed en-suite bathrooms.

For additional guest flexibility, Kjos includes a twin cabin with two single beds, which can be converted to suit the guests' needs, whether as a children's room or a snug retreat. This cabin also has an en-suite bathroom, maintaining the consistent standard of convenience found throughout the yacht's sleeping quarters.

The yacht's design incorporates crew quarters with a total of three cabins accommodating up to five, each with an en-suite bathroom, ensuring that the crew has their own comfortable living spaces. The galley, which is compact yet fully equipped, and the crew mess are integral parts of the crew quarters, facilitating the crew's ability to provide exemplary service to guests while managing the day-to-day operations of the yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Equipped with twin MTU engines, Kjos is capable of achieving a brisk cruising speed of 21 knots and can reach a top speed of 26 knots.

Fuel capacity is also substantial, with her tanks holding up to 29,072 liters, which supports the yacht's long-range cruising abilities. At a speed of 18 knots, Kjos can travel up to 1,200 nautical miles, ensuring extended voyages are possible without the frequent need for refueling.

For moments when the yacht is at anchor, Kjos is fitted with modern at-anchor stabilizers. These systems significantly reduce roll motion, enhancing comfort for guests and making for a more pleasant stay on board, particularly in rougher sea conditions.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
