The 37.8m motor yacht Lumière was delivered to her owners in 2024 by Dutch shipyard Moonen. She features exterior design by René van der Velden Yacht Design and interior styling by Studio Indigo.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.15m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 345 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2020. Launched in March 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2024.

Exterior Design

Moonen build number YN203 was named LUMIÈRE on her summer 2024 launch, the fifth of the semi-custom Martinique design from the Dutch builder.  The design emphasizes wide-body, high-volume spaces with ample railings and wide companionways.

The high, rounded bow leads to a functional teak foredeck with prominent guardrails, and open fairleads add visual interest to the pristine white hull. Portholes on the lower deck ensure natural light floods the interior. The stern features a deep bathing platform accessible from the main deck aft by twin staircases, with integrated shell doors for watercraft access.

On the main deck aft, al fresco dining is facilitated by a smart table and director chairs, complemented by banquette seating and built-in cabinetry for guest service.

A sleek black bootstrap delineates the water's edge. Atop the yacht, banquette seating forms the sun deck aft beam, facing a raised circular jacuzzi tub with teak steps. The radar mast canopy, supported by sleek black columns, provides shade for guest comfort. Stairway access to the lower deck is situated on the port quarter.

The staircase linking the deck levels is located on the port side, while a launching crane provides operational functionality on the upper deck's starboard aft. Adding interest to the profile, a smart grill feature is positioned just aft of the nameplate on the upper deck level.

Accommodation

The yacht can accommodate 12 guests across a layout featuring one owner's stateroom, two VIP staterooms, and two guest cabins. Seven crew members are housed in three cabins plus a captain's cabin.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32 Acert) 1,925hp engines, motor yacht Lumière is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 35,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
