Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 14.2m beam and a 3.9m draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 2,786 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2012.

Exterior Design

Nirvana stands proud with a distinctive slightly flared bow and swooping curve that begins aft. Sorgiovanni's signature brightwork on the transom and the strip of faux mahogany that outlines the cap rail visually extends the length of the yacht, giving her a sleek and elongated profile. This is a design element that has been carefully carried over from Sorgiovanni’s previous work on the 75.5-meter Anastasia, adding a touch of nostalgia to Nirvana's modern aesthetics.

The main aft deck of Nirvana features an immense oval-shaped 7.5-meter pool with a depth of 1.4 meters. This pool, the largest on any Oceanco yacht, is depth-adjustable and can be filled with either fresh or seawater. One deck above is the owner's exclusive domain, showcasing a vast exterior terrace forward with a whirlpool tub and several sunbathing options.

The sun deck aft, at the top of the yacht, is also a touch-and-go helicopter pad that includes 14 inset lights and two foldable wings for extra safety space for the aircraft. Opposite the helipad is a whirlpool with generous sunbathing cushions all around. The deck is about 12 meters above the waterline, offering breathtaking near 360-degree views from foredeck to aft.

The yacht's exterior is also designed to support the water sports passions of the family. An enlarged sea terrace door opens onto the tender garage and storage, where four hydraulic cranes manage a pair of 11-meter Vikal tenders, an 8.5-meter ski boat, six jet-skis, and four waveRunners. Another tender sits below the fully enclosed foredeck.

Nirvana has combined speed, power, and stability with an array of amenities designed to support an active lifestyle.

Interior Design

The interior design of Nirvana is truly a masterpiece that seamlessly blends comfort, luxury, and nature-inspired aesthetics. Styled inside and out by Sam Sorgiovanni, the yacht's design takes inspiration from a tropical island rainforest. The design objective was to create something unique, individual, and stylistically different, a goal that was achieved beyond expectation.

The exquisite interior features nearly 200 materials, including 10 different wood veneers such as eucalyptus, teak, oak, and palm wood in various finishes. The bamboo flooring, finely detailed to resemble ripples of sand, pairs beautifully with black mother-of-pearl, white onyx, and limestone. The earthy color palette of the furnishings is complemented with shades of green ranging from Coke bottle to chartreuse. These accents can be seen in upholstered chairs, leafy-design carpets, silk throw pillows, and various objets d'art.

The yacht's six decks are all connected by the main stairwell and an extraordinary six-person glass lift, entwined in a stainless steel woven art piece that resembles a bubbling whirlpool. This captivating sculptural feature is a focal point on all levels.

Guests can enjoy the main saloon, adorned with bamboo-design wall panels, a layered wire Balinese sculpture, a Brazilian fossil, and a metal sculpture inspired by cumulous clouds. The main deck also provides a dining area and a cozy separate sitting room, which converts into a massage room. These areas are divided by two vivariums, housing water dragons, bearded lizards, turtles, a chameleon, and exotic frogs, adding an extra touch of nature to the yacht's ambience.

Accommodation

The owner's exclusive domain on a private deck has a 150-square-meter master suite, featuring a large skylight, his-and-hers facilities in white Iranian onyx, a private sitting room, and an office. The exterior terrace forward features a whirlpool tub and sunbathing options.

Guest acommodations aboard Nirvana are both lavish and expansive, designed to host up to 12 guests within six suites. Central to its offering is a full-beam VIP suite, an exceptional space that includes a private lounge capable of transforming into an additional twin cabin, ensuring privacy and versatility. This suite is complete with an en suite bathroom, creating a secluded haven for its occupants.

The yacht's guest accommodations extend to four additional staterooms, each furnished with a plush queen-sized bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep amidst the gentle sway of the sea. The en suites accompanying these cabins are equipped with both rain showers and luxurious bathtubs—perfect for unwinding after a day of sun and sea.

Innovative technology is seamlessly integrated within each cabin, as evidenced by the installation of Crestron panels. These intuitive systems empower guests to navigate a suite of features: from browsing the internet and tracking the yacht's position to adjusting environmental settings and selecting entertainment options—all with the utmost ease.

Nirvana provides for its 27 crew with dedicated quarters that ensure the highest levels of service and care are maintained.

Performance & Capabilities

Nirvana is powered by twin 4000 series MTU main engines, ensuring a robust performance in all sea conditions. With the capacity to achieve a maximum speed of 20 knots, the yacht offers a blend of speed and power that is rare in a vessel of this size.

The engines have been designed to provide optimum performance and reliability, ensuring that the Nirvana is not just a luxury yacht but a vessel capable of embarking on long voyages. The yacht's cruising speed of 14 knots allows for a range well over 5,000 nautical miles, making this the perfect yacht for transoceanic adventures.

Engine reliability and performance are further enhanced by a sophisticated integrated bridge system by SAM electronics. This state-of-the-art system directs content on seven interchangeable screens, providing the crew with the ability to monitor and control all aspects of the yacht's performance and navigation.

Leisure & Entertainment

The yacht also boasts a cinema/games area and a gym. The sun deck functions as a touch-and-go helicopter pad and houses a whirlpool surrounded by sunbathing cushions.

Nirvana boasts a tender garage equipped with four hydraulic cranes capable of managing a pair of 11-meter Vikal tenders, an 8.5-meter ski boat, six jet-skis, and four waveRunners, providing ample opportunities for water sports.

To support the active lifestyle of its guests, the Nirvana also features an enlarged sea terrace door which opens onto the tender garage and storage area, providing immediate access to the sea via the lower lobby. Here, a hull door opens flat onto the water to create a small beach club platform, allowing jet-skiers to dock with ease.

The yacht has a depth-adjustable 7.5-meter pool that can be filled with either fresh or seawater.
