Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.2m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 737 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Ostar's sundeck is a haven for relaxation and entertainment, featuring a sumptuous spa pool surrounded by sun cushions and loungers. This area is complemented by a barbecue, bar, and casual dining table, inviting guests to indulge in alfresco gastronomy while basking under the sky. One deck below, the bridge deck aft offers a slightly more formal dining experience with a well-shaded table that seats twelve, perfect for enjoying elegant meals with stunning panoramic views.

The yacht's exterior design extends its thoughtful functionality to the main deck aft, which ingeniously transforms from a practical space for tender storage into a luxurious third terrace deck when the tenders are launched. Teak-topped deck inserts fold seamlessly into place, creating an expansive area for guests to socialize and admire the horizon. A passerelle and a stairway provide convenient access to the dock and the inviting bathing platform, respectively, enhancing the yacht's connection with the sea.

The thoughtful design continues with full side decks that lead to the Portuguese bridge at the front of the pilothouse, and an intimate foredeck that features a circular sunbathing area for guests seeking a quiet retreat.

Ostar's interior is not merely a space to reside; it is a journey through styles and eras, a confluence of safety and splendor, and a celebration of craftsmanship and customization.

Interior Design

The main deck's interior spaces include a salon and dining salon, where the architectural style leans towards modern France or Italy. Ebonised mahogany panelling and doors contrast with pale colours in the settees, easy chairs, and custom-made carpets with discreet gold threads. The walls are covered with an ultra-thin layer of Italian plaster, enhancing fireproof quality and creating a reflective depth. In the dining salon, this plaster is overlaid with a painted fleur-de-lis, providing an impression of an ancient fresco.

The sun lounge on the bridge deck adopts a relaxed style reminiscent of a tropical villa. Distressed and bleached oak beams create an airy loft impression, while the yellow walls add a casual finish. The floor features a distressed yellow and white diamond pattern, contributing to the room's carefree aesthetic.

The interior design scheme extends to the yacht's various lounges and saloons, incorporating a variety of decorative styles and an eclectic mix of classically inspired loose furniture. The main deck also features a powder room with a tiger's eye countertop set on an ebonised mahogany cabinet, gold fittings, and classical decorative prints. Forward of this, the owner's study features dark walls panelled with ebonised and flame mahogany, a leather-topped desk, and a distinctive star-studded carpet.

Accommodation

Ostar can host a total of 10 guests across five well-appointed cabins.

The master suite, located forward on the main deck, is a full-beam room designed for maximum comfort and luxury. It features a king-sized bed, an astrological theme with constellations mapped out on the deckhead, and a large mural by David Barker. The suite also includes an owner's study with modern office amenities and a bathroom with an onyx counter top, spa bath, and separate shower.

The guest accommodations are situated on the lower deck and include four distinct staterooms: -

St Tropez and Portofino Cabins: These are slightly larger double cabins with full bathrooms.

Venice and Capri Cabins: One is a double cabin, and the other is a twin with a third Pullman berth. Both have en suite shower rooms.

Each guest cabin is uniquely styled to reflect the charm and character of its namesake, ensuring a fresh and bright atmosphere. All guest rooms are equipped with modern entertainment systems discreetly hidden behind sliding panels.

The crew area includes a laundry large enough for three stewardesses, sizable refrigerator and freezer rooms, and a machinery room with essential equipment.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516 B-DI-TA) 1,875hp engines, motor yacht Ostar is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 98,746 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,758 nautical miles.
