Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 11.2m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,150 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 1990. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Zeus is characterized by its triple tier of mirrored convex windows, which are a notable visual element. The design prioritizes straightforward, effective solutions over decorative elements. Zeus features a raked bow that enhances both its aerodynamic efficiency and visual appeal. The deck is constructed from high-quality teak, providing durability and a classic look.
The hull and superstructure are both finished in a clean, white color, creating a cohesive and elegant exterior. A black boot top stripe adds a sharp, contrasting detail along the waterline, while the area below the waterline is also painted black. These design choices contribute to a sleek and polished appearance, ensuring that Zeus stands out in any marina.
The bathing platform, which folds out from the starboard side of the hull, is another practical feature. It is accessible via a guest stairwell that descends from the owner’s deck, passing through the guest deck. This stairwell is fully enclosed but not air-conditioned, a decision made to provide comfort for bathers by avoiding sudden temperature changes.
Zeus’s sun decks and observation salon on the upper deck offer extensive views and are designed with a white and pale pastel color scheme. The seating in the observation salon is particularly adaptable, with hinged seat-backs that can be adjusted to face forward, enhancing the viewing experience. The yacht also boasts a basketball court on the aft deck.
Interior Design
The interior design of Zeus, originally crafted by François Zuretti, is characterized by its practical yet aesthetically pleasing approach. The main deck features a cozy TV lounge, providing a comfortable space for relaxation and entertainment. The upper deck saloon, which once served as the main dining area, has been transformed into a comfortable lounge. Large windows are a prominent feature, providing ample natural light and enhancing the connection to the surrounding environment.
One notable feature of Zeus is the glass-walled gym, strategically positioned to offer views over the aft deck. This modern fitness space allows guests to maintain their exercise routines while enjoying the surrounding vistas. The gym is equipped with essential workout facilities, emphasizing functionality and convenience.
Accommodation
Zeus offers accommodation for up to 12 guests. The main deck of Zeus features five sizable guest cabins, providing ample space and comfort for guests. Each room is spacious and includes excellent wardrobe space and large windows, ensuring an airy and inviting atmosphere. The VIP cabin on this deck is particularly noteworthy, offering a king-sized bed and an additional single berth. It also features two shower rooms.
The upper deck is dedicated almost entirely to the owner, ensuring privacy and exclusivity. The owner's suite is a standout feature, offering panoramic views and a sense of spaciousness. The suite includes two large bathrooms adorned with marble and granite, silver fittings, and a spacious dressing room. The bedroom, positioned to maximize the view through its 180-degree reflectionless windows, includes a desk and a day bed.
She is also capable of carrying up to 21 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
