The hybrid-propulsion, 76m (250ft) superyacht ‘Project Arrow’ has become the latest yacht to be added to Turquoise Yachts order book, the yard has announced.
The Turkish builder revealed the contract has been signed on the project and that Project Arrow is now under construction at its Kocaeli facility. She joins a further five yachts that Turquoise currently has in build that total 422m (1,384ft) in length.
Whilst the yard is keeping many of the details under wraps, we do know that Project Arrow will feature a battery-powered hybrid propulsion system and fully integrated electronics and will have a beam of 13.2m (43ft) for a spacious 1,800GT. Turquoise is responsible for her naval architecture, Italian studio Team for Design will pen the exterior styling and London-based H2 Yacht Design will take charge of her interior design.
Whilst this is a first collaboration between Turquoise and Team for Design, the yard has worked with H2 Yacht Design on a number of builds in the past. Most notable of these have been 76.75m (252ft) GO and 72.64m (238ft) Quantum of Solace, which picked up seven award wins and a further 14 nominations between them. H2 is also providing the interior styling for four of the six Turquoise yachts currently in build.
Turkish builder Turquoise Yachts is a full custom superyacht builder, with an impressive fleet that covers a variety of styles. Project Arrow joins four other motor yachts Turquoise current has in build, 87m (285ft) Project Vento, 79.8m (262ft) Project Toro, 75m (246ft) Infinite Jest and 53m (174ft) JEWELS. The yard also has one sailing yacht being constructed, 51m (167ft) Rainbow II.
