Measuring 62.5m, the Hull 5504 is currently working through the final commissioning stages and is due for delivery late Spring 2020.
Building on the basis already created by the Limited Editions 199 model, many similar features have been maintained such as the gull wing doors for access to the forward tender garage and the large portholes across the superstructure.
Promising a maximum speed of 16.5 knots plus a range of 5,000 nautical miles at cruising speeds of 13 knots, the Limited Editions 206 is the first of three scheduled deliveries from Amels for 2020.
The boat is full of details, little surprises, little differences. Aft of the wing station, the form of the boat shoots up to the deck above and then I changed the tumblehome from in to out – from positive to negative – and it makes such an interesting form.
Exterior designer
Exterior designs for the 206 are a collaborated effort by British designer Tim Heywood along with the inhouse Amels design team. The resulting light grey hull and gleaming white superstructure create striking vision which is complemented by the interiors which have been designed by Laura Sessa.
Key features of the new model mainly focus on the exteriors starting with the currently trending large beach club. Seen across many shipyards and models, the spacious beach club facility covers 35 square metres with plenty of space for launching watertoys and relaxing close to the water.
In addition to the beach club, another stand out element is the extensive superyacht sundeck which has been lengthened to 23 metres and boasts large sunpads aft, plus a spa pool forward.
Overnight accommodation onboard the Limited Editions 206 comprises of a six cabin layout. A pair of VIP cabins are situated up on the bridge deck, with further guest cabins on the lower deck. The luxurious full beam owner's cabin is located on the main deck and features fold out balconies on both port and starboard sides of the cabin.
