Baglietto X50 and FAST50 Unveiled for Builder's 170th Anniversary

The builder's two new superyachts, the X50 and FAST50, expand its lineup in celebration of its 170th anniversary.

Baglietto, a well-known yacht design house based in Italy, has unveiled its latest offerings: the Baglietto X50 and the FAST50, two cutting-edge superyachts with designs carried out by Francesco Paszkowski.

These motor yachts mark a significant expansion of the brand's product range, coinciding with its 170th-anniversary celebration this year.

X50

The Baglietto X50 represents the shipyard's foray into a new segment, serving as the inaugural model of the XO line. Engineered for extensive ocean voyages across the globe, the X50 embodies Baglietto's fresh approach to "Experiencing and Observing" the horizon, as inspired by Erri de Luca's quote on true journeys at sea.

An outstanding feature of the X50 is its observation point situated above the wheelhouse, providing panoramic views of the surroundings. This observatory doubles as an entertainment space, boasting 360-degree vistas through expansive flush-fitting windows and a central skylight.

Inside, a captivating 'visual room' awaits, furnished with plush cushions and sofas. Opposite the lounge, six large independent monitors offer versatile entertainment options, from movies and music to digital charts and drone views of the voyage ahead.

Drawing inspiration from the railway sector, particularly the 1950s ETR 300 Settebello train, the XO series adopts innovative design elements such as relocating the driving station above the passenger area and incorporating a panoramic lounge below it.

The X50's sleeker and more robust bow design enhances maneuverability and crew operations, especially in adverse weather conditions, making it ideal for transatlantic crossings. The aft section features a versatile space housing a gym and ample storage for outdoor furniture and equipment.

Furthermore, the X50 embraces eco-friendly practices, utilizing ceramic materials and solar panels on the flybridge to recharge onboard water toys. Special paints contribute to environmental conservation efforts, reflecting the shipyard's commitment to sustainability.

Available in a range of configurations and vibrant colors, the XO line offers unparalleled customization options, including the ability to accommodate large tenders. Powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines, the yacht achieves a maximum speed of 16 knots, ensuring both performance and efficiency.

FAST50

Baglietto's 50m FAST50 yacht, represents the pinnacle of luxury, speed, and cutting-edge technology in the brand's lineup. Inspired by the words of Milan Kundera in his book Slowness, where he describes speed as the "form of ecstasy" bestowed by the technical revolution, the FAST50 embodies a new era of exhilarating yachting experiences.

Baglietto FAST50

Powered by four MTU 2000 M96L engines, the FAST50 boasts an impressive top speed of 30 knots, while its sleek profile, envisioned by Francesco Paszkowski, creates an iconic silhouette that commands attention.

Like its predecessor, the T52, the FAST50 blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living, courtesy of ceiling-high windows that offer panoramic views and lower gunwales that maximize visibility.

The main saloon delivers functionality, while also providing ample space for entertainment with a lounge area and TV lounge. The dining area, meanwhile, is elegantly arranged on the upper deck sky lounge, offering dining experiences and expansive views of the surroundings.

Accommodations on the FAST50 are nothing short of lavish, with a full-beam master suite and two VIP and twin staterooms, each boasting ensuite facilities, situated on the lower deck.

Drawing inspiration from the automotive world, the FAST50 incorporates design elements such as stern fairleads reminiscent of car exhausts. The upper deck offers abundant space for sunbathing, complete with sun loungers, sun pads, and a Jacuzzi positioned at the extreme bow.
