During a private ceremony attended by the new owners, their friends at the team at the shipyard, the fifth hull of the Darwin Class 102 was successfully launched on the 15th of June 2019. Named Motor Yacht Archipelago, the latest hull is now preparing to begin her sea trials before her scheduled delivery.
Powered by a pair of CAT C18 Acert engines, Archipelago has an impressive range of 4,700 nautical miles while travelling at 9.5 knots. A top speed of 13 knots, and cruising speed of 11.5 knots, allows owners and their guests to make the most of every voyage thanks to the smooth and effortless performance.
Measuring up at 31 metres, the Darwin Class 102 model is the end result of a design collaboration between Hydro Tec, for the exteriors and the naval architecture, and Francesco Guida for the interiors.
Socialising space onboard the Cantiere Delle Marche vessel is abundant and allows guests to mingle at multiple locations throughout the decks. Exteriors provide an exceptional welcome to the yacht with a roomy swim platform and a shaded exterior lounge area.
Interiors are bright and airy thanks to the selection of white, green and blue aesthetics and boast an open plan layout. A lounge and dining area are found in the spacious main salon with an additional lounge area up in the skylounge.
In addition to the open plan living area on the main deck, the owner's cabin is also located on the main deck. The private suite is roomy with many desirable features including stunning views around the yacht and the surroundings.
Other guest accommodation can be found on the lower deck. Following the same interior design of ocean inspired colours, there are four cabins available which can accommodate up to ten guests at any one time.
