Columbus Yachts has announced it has sold its first Atlantique 43, just two months after the new line was unveiled.
The 43m (141ft) superyacht is one of a series of three yachts the shipyard, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, revealed in April. It has been sold to a European client. Also part of the line is the Atlantique 37 and the Atlantique 55.
The interior and exterior spaces of the new yacht come courtesy of Hot Lab, with a focus on a seamless transition between the expansive outdoor spaces and the elegant interiors.
One of the most distinctive features the design studio has introduced is a sailboat-style stern, with a large swimming pool that sits just 50cm above the water. Two folding side wings heighten the feeling of space even further and two steps up from the pool is further seating and outdoor dining for up to 12 guests.
The new Owner has chosen the five-cabin layout, which accommodates ten people across four VIP cabins on the lower deck and a full-beam master cabin on the main deck. The inaugural hull is expected to be delivered in 2023.
The Atlantique 43 features plenty of options with regards to the layout. In the six-cabin version the upper deck is reserved for the Owner, with a completely private aft terrace.
The main salon features two relaxation areas, a large C-shaped sofa and a small sofa next to the entrance and a mini-cinema style space with a large sofa facing an 82-inch wall TV. There is the choice of adding two large sliding windows in the forward area of the main salon. Moving further on there is a stairwell with a double exit lift and a guest area that can be used as a small gym or library.
At bow on the upper deck there is an outdoor lounge and a second swimming pool surrounded by sunpads. A 5.5m (18ft) tender garage is found on the port side aft of the lower deck, with the main deck forward arranged to house a second tender and two waverunners.
Established in 2008, Columbus Yachts has developed a reputation for building large elegant yachts, since it delivered its first superyacht, 54m (177.1ft) PRIMA, in 2011. In a busy start to 2021, it also announced the first of its new Sport 50 line, the 49.5m (162.4ft) superyacht K2 had launched, and revealed it is working on the 50m (164ft) ‘Project Lady’ which is set for delivery in 2022.
