First WiderCat 92 moves to outfitting

The first hull of the new WiderCat 92 has progressed onto outfitting following transportation to the Fano, Italy facility.

Now in the stages of painting, system installations and initial interior preparations, the WiderCat 92 is currently scheduled to make her global debut at the forthcoming 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Boasting collaborative exterior design by Luca Dini Design & Architecture and the in-house team at Wider Yachts, the WiderCat 92 is the flagship of the range and already has five units in construction.

Integrated with the Serial Hybrid Propulsion System, which was originally introduced to superyachts in 2015, the hybrid propulsion is enough to make the new multihull an exciting addition to the Wider fleet.

Construction of the deck and superstructure of the first unit is already underway with Marcello Maggi, head of Wider equity owners W-Fin Sarl, saying they are "extremely proud of how the works on the WiderCat 92 are progressing".

Promoted as an eco-conscious model, the hybrid system works with the input of solar panels, and is designed to run almost silently with minimal impact on the environment and, of course, the overall guest experience.
