The yacht’s design includes sharp lines, low bulwarks, and full-height windows to maximize natural light and views. The layout prioritizes guest comfort and crew efficiency, featuring separate routing for discreet service and ample storage for tenders and toys.
Peder Eidsgaard of Harrison Eidsgaard noted, "The design of Heesen's 50-metre steel exudes confidence. It translates the fast and sporty look of the aluminium yachts into a dynamic, agile form. The profile is not radical or extravagant but refined and timeless."
Robert Drontmann, Heesen Sales Director, emphasized the importance of simplicity and versatility in a 499GT yacht layout. "We want to maximise lifestyle space for the guests while ensuring that the crew have optimal working space to deliver a top-notch experience," he said.

Keel laying of Project Grace
Heesen Yachts collaborates with Talsma, a shipyard in Friesland, for the welding of steel hulls off-site. This approach prevents cross-contamination with aluminium production. Talsma's expertise in steel construction ensures that each hull aligns with Heesen’s rigorous quality standards. Heesen integrates its proprietary methods into the construction process, enhancing efficiency and maintaining high hull quality.
Upon completion, the steel hull travels through rivers and canals to Heesen's Oss shipyard. The process of joining, outfitting, and installing the engine room occurs here, adhering to Heesen's high standards.
Heesen Yachts has recently introduced several new models that reflect its focus on innovation and advanced engineering. The 62-meter Project Monte-Carlo, unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show, incorporates a steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and serial hybrid propulsion. Additionally, the 55-meter Serena, the seventh in Heesen's Steel series, has begun sea trials with a restyled exterior and upgraded performance capabilities. These models showcase the brand's latest advancements in yacht design.
