Powered with a pair of 500hp Cummins engines, the new powercat, which has been christened 4EVER, can reach top speeds of 18 knots and cruising speeds of 12 knots.
Capable of achieving a range of 3,400 nautical miles while cruising at eight knots, the 24 metre (78.7ft) multihull model looks to make her maiden voyage across the West Indies and then continuing onto the Pacific region.
Constructed with a combination of aluminium and lightweight composites, the dark blue-hulled catamaran was designed in collaboration with long-term partner Marc Lombard.
Ideal for her maiden destination in the Pacific plus other idyllic locations like the Bahamas, the Long Island 78 Power has a maximum draft of just 1.24 metres. Perfect for gaining access to shallow shores.
Exteriors onboard are spacious and highly equipped for long lazy days in the sun. A seawater pool and hydraulic launchpad for tenders offer guests a close connection to nature, with prime views accessible from the equally spacious flybridge. Alfresco dining can also be endured either on the foredeck or in a sheltered area on the aft deck.
Interior designs dominated by oak and darker woods by Darnet Design, showcases a real timeless appeal to the model, with accents of nautical shades and prints merging the interior meets exterior theme.
A voluminous main salon welcomes the 10 guests onboard with abundant seating and vantage viewpoints, plus a more formal interior dining setup.
Overnight accommodation comprises a five-cabin layout, including a roomy 20 sqm Owner's cabin which features a wide stretch of windows directly opposite the berth. Guest cabins are located in the hulls and make use of strategically placed portholes for captivating water level views.
In addition to the delivery of the first Long Island 78 Power, JFA Yachts is also scheduled to deliver a Long Island 100 in 2021.
