The finishing touches are being put to the newly renovated Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina, as what is being touted as “the greatest yachting destination in the Bahamas” prepares to open its doors to the public.
Work is almost complete on the 5-star marina located at Paradise Landing in Nassau, and it is expected to start welcoming yachts from the beginning of April the developers, Sterling Global Financial, has announced.
“We are very proud of this momentous accomplishment and believe Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina and Paradise Landing will benefit Bahamian tourism for generations to come,” said David Kosoy, Executive Chairman and Founder of Sterling Global Financial. “We set out to create the greatest yachting destination in The Bahamas and I believe we are close to achieving that goal.”
The redevelopment works have seen the marina’s perimeter expanded to encompass more than 1,850 linear meters (6,100ft) of deep-water floating and fixed concrete docks, able to accommodate superyachts up to 128m (420ft) in length with a 73m (240ft) wide turning basin for convenience and ease of access.
A range of luxurious amenities will also be on hand, including state-of-the-art fitness facilities, swimming pools, world-class retail and gourmet provisioning and an array of waterfront restaurants and bars. There will also be a number of luxury dockside residences available for owners, guests and yacht crew and for golf lovers, there is an 18-hole par 72 championship course designed by PGA champion Tom Weiskopf.
