Sunreef reveals expansion plans within the UAE

The new facility will expand Sunreef's manufacturing capacity by 65,000 square meters.

Sunreef has unveiled its expansion into the Middle East at the Dubai International Boat Show 2024 (DIBS), with plans underway for a new manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The facility's first manufacturing and CNC halls are nearing completion, marking a significant milestone for the company.

In addition to the builder's 125,000 square meters of industrial space split between two shipyards in Gdansk, Poland, Sunreef Yachts will now expand its footprint with the new facility in Ras Al Khaimah.

Spanning a land reserve of 65,000 square meters, the facility will integrate advanced technologies while adhering to the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency. The first yachts to be produced at the site will be the hybrid Ultima catamarans and 15-21m (50-70ft) power and sail yachts.

Sunreef will work with RAK Maritime City to develop the facility, to ensure the site delivers a comprehensive approach to yacht construction. The newly established factory will feature modern paint shops, carpentry, upholstery, and stainless steel workshops, each equipped with state-of-the-art robotics and machinery.

The decision to establish the new facility in Ras Al Khaimah was carefully considered, with the UAE serving as a crucial crossroad between East and West. Ras Al Khaimah boasts robust industry support, incentives, and easy access to major markets and transportation infrastructure, making it an ideal location for Sunreef's expansion.

The expansion marks a pivotal moment in Sunreef Yachts' global growth strategy, enhancing its presence in the Middle East while strengthening connections with the Asian and Australian markets. Furthermore, Sunreef's expansion reflects the growth of the Middle Eastern market — a prominent theme at this year's Dubai International Boat Show.
