Turquoise Yachts launches 56m explorer yacht 'Blue II'

Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts has successfully launched its new 56 metre explorer yacht 'Blue II'.

Originally known as Project Lombok, the dark blue hull touched the waters at the Istanbul facility on May 12th.

Advertising an internal volume of 785GT panning over four decks, the explorer vessel features an aluminium superstructure and an ice class hull.

Suitable for most terrains including the Polar Regions, 'Blue II' has a diesel-electric propulsion system along with other top of the range installations, encased in a vision reminiscent of times gone by.

Exterior relaxation areas are in abundance around the decks, which are spacious and inviting for taking in the sights as owners explore new regions.

On the other end of the scale, the collaborative interiors from Hoek Naval Architects and British design studio Vickers offer intimate spaces which offer cosy environments and classical touches associated with steamboats.
