The best new superyachts available for delivery in 2021

Despite the effects of COVID19, shipyards have adapted and moved forward throughout 2020, with many reporting strong sales over the last 12 months. Here, we take a look at a selection of the most exciting and impresive large yachts available for delivery of in 2021.

Whilst 2020 may have been a year of uncertainty, the yachting industry has survived and, in many cases, thrived. With yachts emerging as the best (and possibly only) way to enjoy the good life, it is little wonder that yacht sales have stood up well. As we enter 2021, YachtBuyer looks at the best new large yachts you can take ownership of before the end of the year.

Away from production models, below 25m, where delivery times are shorter and stock boats offer the chance of immediate Ownership, large yacht build and delivery times can range anywhere from two to five years. But there are ways of speeding up this process, with some builders putting yachts into build speculatively - known as spec builds.

These yachts tend to range between 30m-60m (100ft-200ft) with a good amount of customization or personalization available, depending on how far along the build is. Our Intelligence has revealed an assortment of yachts, all the way up to four-deck superyachts, that are available for delivery this year.

Trailblazing style and speed

Many of the yachts available for delivery in this size bracket tend to be contemporary fast cruisers, so if you are in the market for something sleek and sporty you won’t be disappointed.

Hailing from ISA, a part of the Palumbo brand, the 30.48m (100ft) Super Sportivo 100 GTO looks set to become one of the fastest models available on the market upon its release later this year. Three 2000hp engines, matched with a hull and superstructure built with vinylester resin and carbon fibre, will give her a top speed of a breathtaking 50 knots.

The entry level model in Mangusta’s GranSport series, the GranSport33, is also available for delivery this year. It doesn’t quite reach the speeds of the Super Sportivo 100 GTO, but with a focus on long range and good fuel consumption she offers incredibly low vibrations, minimal noise impact and a ride of almost unparalleled comfort.

Another offering from Mangusta’s GranSport series is its 104 REV sports yacht. With a top speed of 35 knots and a range of 370nm at its cruising speed of 25 knots, this 31.8m (104ft) sports yacht marries style, speed and transoceanic range and is available for delivery this year.

One of the most decorated yachts in this size range you can take delivery of in 2021 is Custom Line’s Navetta 33. This 33m (108ft) semi-displacement yacht has picked up a number of awards including Best Exterior Design in the World Yacht Trophies and Best Three-Deck Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yacht in the World Superyacht Awards. It is no wonder then that she is so popular with thirty six Navetta 33’s delivered since 2008.

There are also a couple more Custom Line models you can take delivery of this year. Its 28.43m (93ft) Navetta 30 is great for sun worshippers with a fantastic sun deck, whilst its 106 yacht is part of the Custom Line planing range and her swept-back hillside windows and raked pilothouse caused quite a ripple at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2019.

Sanlorenzo’s SD96 has big shoes to fill, having replaced the SD92 - a unit that sold 27 units since its launch in 2007. However with five hulls already on the water since her launch last year this elegantly designed flybridge yacht looks set to be equally popular and is available for delivery in 2021.

This section wouldn’t be complete without a mention of Benetti’s Delfino 95. Taking the mantle from the successful Delfino 93 and running with it, the fluid, sinuous lines, contemporary style and wonderful use of glass make the Delfino another masterclass from the Italian builders.

This size bracket is awash with sporty styled superyachts, although perhaps the stand out model you could take delivery of draws its inspirations from a little further back.

Benetti’s new 37m (121ft) Motopanfilo is heavily influenced by the large motor yachts of the early 1960s that became synonymous with glamour and royalty. Mirrored surfaces, large panes of glass and touches of white and blue create an airy and light feeling throughout and five cabins provide ample space for up to ten guests.

If you are looking to buy an expedition yacht then another new model from Benetti could fit the bill. With a range of 5,000nm the B.Yond 37m (121ft) is a serious explorer yacht, ideal for anyone wanting to venture to the furthest corners of the globe. What is more, its e-Mode propulsion system ensures low fuel consumption and reduced environmental impact.

You could also take ownership of Benetti’s 38.1m (125ft) Fast 125. With nine hulls sold since 2015 it has also picked up a number of awards and boasts a fast-displacement hull, sporty exterior styling and an extensive sun deck.

With six award wins, and a further six nominations the 38.36m (126ft) Custom Line 120 is undoubtedly something special. Inspired by the wind, her sleek hull and strong lines from bow to stern immediately catch the eye. Floor to sky windows, a panoramic view from the flybridge and a floating lounge floor are all outstanding features and make her a great choice for any discerning yacht buyer in 2021.

You can also take delivery of flagship models from both Arcadia and Johnson Yachts in 2021. Four Arcadia 115s have been delivered since 2013 and the fifth hull has had a restyle profile and redesigned interior courtesy of Hot Lab Design Studio. Whilst the Johnson 115, the eighth vessel in the Taiwanese builders fleet, has some eye-catching features including a palatial master suite complete with a marble-clad bathroom and an almost implausibly spacious open aft deck.
