AHPO: Lürssen's 115m Megayacht Delivered

The 4,850GT superyacht is yet another entry for Lurssen in the list of the world’s longest yachts and is expected to be made available for charter in 2022.

Lürssen can officially claim another spot in the top 100 world's largest yachts on the water after 115m (378ft) megayacht AHPO, formerly known as Project Enzo, was delivered to her owner.

Superyacht AHPO was built for a repeat Lürssen client and features interior and exterior design by the renowned studio Nuvolari Lenard. The pair have previously collaborated on the award-winning 88m (288ft) motor yacht QUATTROELLE.

Details of the yacht have been kept secret, but it is known she has a range of luxurious features across her six decks. These include a number of sports and leisure facilities, an extra-large gym on her sky deck and an expansive wellness area on her lower deck.

She also has a number of eco-friendly credentials including a heat recovery system to warm the swimming pool and a dynamic positioning system that enables electronic anchoring to protect the seabed. We also know she can accommodate 14 guests across seven suites, including a full-beam master duplex that spans the width of her vast 18m (60ft) beam.

AHPO was announced in 2018 as ‘Project Testarossa’, with yacht lovers getting a glimpse of her for the first time in September 2019 when she was moved from a construction hall in Rendsburg. She was launched in June of this year before commencing her sea trials in September. It is believed that she will be made available for charter in 2022.

The German yard looks set to add to that list further in the next 24 months, with a series of huge projects in its order books. They include 160m (525ft) superyacht BLUE and 146m (479ft) superyacht ‘Project Opera’, a replacement for ‘Project Sassi’ which was severely damaged in a fire in September 2018.

World's Largest Yachts

Superyacht AHPO also takes her place as the third biggest delivery of 2021, behind fellow Lurssen build 142m (466ft) superyacht NORD and Lloyd Werft’s 139m (456ft) superyacht SOLARIS - some of the world's biggest yachts.

Lürssen now occupies 30 spots in the list of the Top 100 superyachts by length, including four of the six world's biggest yachts. Its 180.65m (593ft) superyacht AZZAM takes the top spot.

With a Gross Tonnage of 4,850GT, superyacht AHPO will feature in the new more accurate YachtBuyer YB100 Largest yachts by GT table by virtue of her large internal volume, a few places higher than her ranking by length.
