Launched in April 2024, Feadship's groundbreaking 91.8m (301ft) hybrid-electric superyacht is named during sea trials in the North Sea. The yacht will be delivered to her Spanish owner, ZARA founder Amancio Ortega, in July.
DRIZZLE's propulsion and energy management systems incorporate cutting-edge Feadship technology. The superyacht has two main engines and shaft-driven fixed-pitch propellers, with 560kW electric motors and 1MWh of Li-ion batteries. The e-motors function as shaft generators, producing electricity for hotel loads or recharging the batteries. The generators or batteries then provide the necessary electrical power.
The collaboration between Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, De Voogt Naval Architects, and a repeat client has resulted in a stunning superyacht with a masculine exterior, featuring a dark blue hull and white superstructure.
DRIZZLE boasts a signature deep v-cut bow, balanced by an extended explorer-style aft deck. The aft deck includes a 165sq/m beach club with a large pool and fold-out terraces. The sundeck is an observation point with a forward-facing sofa and sun loungers, while the aft deck houses two rescue tenders.
Despite her 91m (301.1ft) size, the interior of DRIZZLE is designed to feel like a cozy family home. The main deck forward hosts luxurious guest suites and staff cabins, while the upper decks feature a master stateroom, family salon, and wellness area.
