Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 42' beam and a 13' draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,843 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2017. This was the first yacht built on the SeaXplorer 65 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in November 2019 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2020.
Exterior Design
Damen Yachting's SeaXplorer series, including Anawa as its inaugural vessel, benefited from the expertise of Azure Yacht Design, responsible for the award-winning exterior design. The SeaXplorer 60's design ethos emphasizes robust, distinctly masculine lines, seamlessly blending luxurious outdoor spaces with functional explorer capabilities.
The helideck, when not utilized for helicopter operations, transforms into a spacious 150sq/m party deck (1,615sq/ft) accommodating up to 100 guests, or as a basketball half-court. Positioned below the helideck, the SeaXplorer 60 offers flexible arrangements for various tenders, including options for vessels up to 10.5 meters in length, a submarine, snowmobiles, jet skis, or sailboats. The covered outdoor area, in total 195sq/m (3,000sq/ft), can be customized to suit the owner's preferences, ranging from a cabana lounge and bar to a dive deck, fitness and wellness zone, or even a ski lodge.
Characterized by its commanding presence, the yacht boasts a towering vertical bow extending to the upper deck, and a high superstructure extending well past amidships. Notable features include vertical openings flanking the bow area and two distinct lines surrounding the stem. Flush, interrupted vertical glazing, framed in black, integrates with the topsides, contributing to the yacht's enclosed aesthetic. Side extensions on the bridge deck enhance width and visibility, while a sturdy vertical navigation and communication tower crowns the bridge deck. The hull features small portholes, including a grouping of seven on the lower deck level and three forward on the main deck, ahead of the main glazing section and side balconies used for tender launches.
At the stern, twin recessed staircases lead to a functional area on the lower deck aft, from a short bathing platform that provides access to the water. The deck lines are characterized by squared-off edges with subtle angles, adding to the yacht's distinctive profile.
Interior Design
The interiors of the yacht Anawa were designed by Carlo Torre of Monaco Yacht Temptation. Interior photographs of Anawa have not been made available to the public.
