Delivered in 2008, Chasing Daylight is a 49.71m motor yacht built by American shipyard Westport Yachts. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Donald Starkey, while Westport Yachts is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.4m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 492 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2006. This was the fourth yacht built on the W164 design. Launched in May 2008 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2008.

Accommodation

Chasing Daylight offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 1 VIP cabin, 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 12 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M90) 16-cylinder 3,647hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Chasing Daylight is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 73,320 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,200 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Chasing Daylight also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
