The award winning 49.9m motor yacht Ocean Z was delivered to her owners in 2022 by Dutch shipyard Heesen. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Clifford Denn, while her interiors are the work of Reymond Langton Design.

Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.9m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in December 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2022.
Exterior Design
With a length of 49.9 meters (163 feet and 8 inches), a beam of 9 meters (29 feet and 6 inches), and a draft of 2.75 meters (9 feet), the Ocean Z presents an impressive structure on the water. The vessel's steel hull ensures durability and a solid feel, contributing to both its performance capabilities and its imposing appearance.
The side decks and aft deck are spacious, providing ample room for movement and leisure activities. The transom wall folds down to create an inviting beach club area, complete with an umbrella setup and additional indoor space, further extending the yacht's living quarters to the water's edge.
On the upper deck, the design continues with generous outdoor spaces. The aft deck offers an expansive area for dining and relaxation, with a bar and sink for added convenience. The staircase is wide, emphasizing the yacht's commitment to space and comfort.
Viewed from a distance, Ocean Z's lines are reminiscent of a sporty elegance, with a profile that balances visual appeal with functionality. The yacht's decks are designed to maximize outdoor experiences, featuring areas for dining, lounging, and socializing while maintaining an uncluttered and functional layout.
Interior Design
The main salon, a central gathering space, features a contemporary design with a TV mounted on the wall and detailed woodwork that adds a touch of sophistication. Adjacent to the salon, the formal dining area provides an elegant setting for meals, with a well-proportioned table and seating to facilitate social interaction.

The bridge is well-appointed, offering the latest in navigational technology, and is designed for optimal functionality. It includes access doors to the side decks, which allow for quick transitions between interior command and exterior observation points.
The galley features three large windows that allow for natural light to enhance the workspace. The layout is streamlined, promoting an efficient workflow with easy access to high-end Miele appliances and ample cold storage. It features a trio of ovens, dedicated prep space and storage. The side access door for crew ensures that operations in the galley are conducted smoothly, without disruption to guest areas.
Accommodation
Accommodation aboard the Heesen-built Ocean Z is designed to host up to 10 guests across five staterooms, offering a spacious and comfortable experience for each individual on board. The yacht's layout features a lesser number of staterooms than one might anticipate for a vessel of its size, a deliberate choice that emphasizes spaciousness and comfort for guests.
The owner's stateroom, or master cabin, is situated on the main deck, providing a sense of prominence and convenience. This full-beam suite is notably expansive, accentuating the feeling of openness while offering amenities such as a king-sized bed, an office space, and large windows that flood the room with natural light. The suite also includes a walk-in closet, a dressing table, and an ensuite bathroom equipped with a double vanity, a walk-through shower featuring marble lining, and a rainfall showerhead, as well as a private toilet area.
Below decks, guests can find the additional four staterooms. Each room comes with its own ensuite bathroom, echoing the generous proportions found throughout the yacht. These ensuites are notably large and include features such as single or double vanities and ample storage space. The guest cabins also offer sizeable closets and are equipped with televisions and desks, further enhancing the onboard living experience.
The crew accommodations are positioned to ensure efficient service to all guest areas while maintaining the privacy of both guests and crew members. Crew quarters are designed to accommodate up to nine crew onboard.
Performance & Capabilities
The engine room of Ocean Z houses a pair of MTU 8V4000 M63 engines, a specification that balances power with efficiency. These engines enable the yacht to achieve a top speed of 15 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 13 knots. When cruising at 13 knots, Ocean Z boasts a considerable range of 3,800 nautical miles, allowing for extensive voyages across oceans without the need for frequent refueling stops.
For those concerned with stability and comfort, Ocean Z is equipped with state-of-the-art stabilizers. These systems work to minimize the roll of the yacht, providing a smoother experience while under way and at anchor, ensuring that guests enjoy comfort throughout their journey.
Amenities
In addition, Ocean Z features a beach club where those on board can enjoy unwinding close to the water. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
