The 28.5m motor yacht Mathilda I was delivered to her owners in 1995 by Dutch shipyard Hakvoort. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Lunstroo Custom Design, while Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • Full-beam master suite
  • Modernized interior with teak paneling
  • Tender carried on the flybridge
  • Shallow draft of 2.1 meters

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 6.82m beam and a 2.1m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 136 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Mathilda I features a clipper bow that enhances its navigational capabilities and contributes to its distinctive profile. The yacht is constructed with a steel hull and superstructure, ensuring durability and strength. The deck is made from teak, providing a classic and functional surface for outdoor areas.

The hull and superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and cohesive appearance. The boot top and below the waterline areas are painted black, adding contrast and emphasizing the waterline. This straightforward color scheme reinforces the yacht's elegant yet practical design.

Mathilda I has a shallow draft of 2.1 meters, allowing access to most cruising grounds and anchorages. Stabilizers are included to enhance onboard comfort, ensuring a smooth experience even in less calm waters. The flybridge is equipped with a tender, facilitating easy transportation to and from the yacht.

The exterior dining area aft provides a casual setting for meals, with a table and seating arrangement that encourages outdoor dining. The full-beam bathing platform offers easy access to the water, making it convenient for swimming and water sports.

Interior Design

Mathilda I's interior features teak paneling, imparting a warm and homely ambiance throughout the spaces. The main deck saloon includes a lounge area equipped with comfortable settees and coffee tables. A bar and an entertainment center featuring a 42-inch Sony television screen are also present, making it a practical area for relaxation and socializing.

Forward of the main saloon, there is a separate formal dining area that seats up to 10 guests. This space benefits from nearby windows that allow natural light to fill the room, enhancing the dining experience. The forward dining area on the main deck is distinct from the saloon, offering a different setting for meals.

Accommodation

Mathilda I offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in five cabins. The master suite, positioned to take full advantage of the yacht's beam, provides a luxurious retreat for the owner. This full-beam suite includes a comfortable bed, storage solutions, and an en-suite bathroom.

In addition to the master suite, there is a VIP double cabin that offers a similarly comfortable and inviting environment. This cabin is ideal for special guests who may be accompanying you on your voyage. Mathilda I also includes three guest cabins, each designed with the same attention to detail and comfort.

She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
