Design & Construction

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Sealen B, a sailing superyacht, reflects a blend of functionality and refined aesthetics. Constructed by the esteemed Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman in 2000 and benefiting from a subsequent refit, Sealen B showcases the design expertise of Germán Frers.

The yacht's hull, crafted from aluminum, combines durability with a sleek profile, while the deck design approaches the concept of flush decks, creating an expansive and uncluttered space for navigation and leisure. The hydraulic winches, a prominent feature on the deck, underscore the vessel's commitment to both performance and ease of handling.

Sealen B's stern is equipped with an innovative garage that, when opened, transforms into a spacious beach club and bathing platform, discreetly housing the tender when not in use. This feature exemplifies the yacht's intelligent use of space and attention to detail in providing both practicality and an enhanced onboard experience.

Sealen B's sail plan is powered by an impressive carbon fiber mast, indicative of the yacht's performance capabilities. The rigging, also constructed from carbon fiber, is designed for strength and weight reduction, essential qualities for a vessel that balances competitive racing with cruising comfort.

Sealen B is a study in purposeful design, where each element is carefully considered to serve the dual objectives of performance sailing and onboard living.

Interior Design

The primary material gracing the interior is light wood, lending a bright and airy ambiance complemented by the ample natural light streaming through the large windows of the deck saloon.

The main deck saloon is the central hub for guest interactions, where the clean lines and uncluttered spaces underscore the yacht's design philosophy. Carefully considered placement of furniture allows for easy movement and flow, while providing comfortable seating areas for guests to gather. The dining area within the saloon is thoughtfully positioned to benefit from the surrounding panoramic views, offering a dining experience that is both visually appealing and memorable.

Attention to detail is apparent in the practical design of the helm station, which features a swivel seat and a comprehensive suite of navigation screens and boat instrumentation for precise control and monitoring. The area is also equipped with ample storage solutions, ensuring that every item has its place.

Adjacent to the helm, a service area is efficiently laid out, incorporating a wine cooler and storage for glassware and cutlery, all securely housed within foam-inset compartments to prevent movement and damage while underway.

The galley has a considerable size and high-end appliances. It is fully equipped with extensive fridge-freezer units and generous storage, allowing for sophisticated culinary pursuits. The space is designed to cater to the demands of fine dining and entertainment, emphasizing the yacht's capability to provide a top-tier service experience.
