The 49.1m motor yacht Bad Romance V was delivered to her owners in 2008 by American shipyard Trinity Yachts. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Patrick Knowles, while her exteriors have been penned by Geoff Van Aller.

Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 470 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2004 with the keel laid under the project name 'Mustang Sally; Foxharb'r'. Launched in January 2008 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2008.
Exterior Design
Bad Romance V features a distinctive exterior design characterized by a bronze-colored hull and a white superstructure, complemented by a slight clipper bow. The yacht's design incorporates functional elements, such as the crane positioned on the top deck, used for launching and retrieving the quad ski.
The aft deck on the main deck provides a straightforward space for relaxation and access to other areas of the yacht. The design is straightforward, emphasizing utility and ease of movement. The upper deck includes an outside dining area and seating at the stern, catering to straightforward leisure activities.
The sun deck serves as a multi-purpose area, housing the tender and conventional jet skis. The design ensures that essential equipment is easily accessible while maintaining clear pathways for movement. Safety features, such as the life rafts stored in black canisters, are strategically placed for quick access in emergencies.
At the front of the yacht, the Portuguese bridge offers additional seating and access to the crew area for handling anchoring and mooring duties.
Interior Design
As you board the Bad Romance V yacht, you'll notice the aft deck area on the main deck, which leads into a space currently serving a unique purpose - a casino. In the main deck salon, there is a significant space equipped with a large screen and comfortable recliners.
Moving forward, the galley is efficiently designed, equipped with essential appliances, including ovens, a dishwasher, and ample cold storage. Its layout allows for seamless operation, with direct access to the guest areas for convenient service. This space is also connected to the crew quarters, ensuring smooth movement and functionality.
The helm, located on the upper deck, offers a clear view and is furnished with necessary navigation equipment. The seating arrangement here is designed for both comfort and practicality, providing a space for monitoring and managing the yacht's operations. The helm also leads to the captain's cabin, which is designed for functionality, with a desk and en-suite facilities.
On the upper deck, the sky lounge offers a relaxed environment with a large screen and comfortable seating, making it ideal for entertainment or relaxation. An outdoor dining area is located at the rear, providing a pleasant setting for meals with views of the surrounding waters.
Accommodation
The yacht Bad Romance V features a total of five cabins, capable of hosting up to ten guests, comprising an owner's cabin, three double cabins and a twin cabin.
The owner's suite is a standout, spanning an entire dedicated area. It includes a private lounge area, ideal for relaxation or work, equipped with a small desk. The bed area is elevated to provide stunning views through large windows, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery upon waking. The suite also includes multiple bathrooms and extensive wardrobe space, ensuring convenience and privacy.
In addition to the owner's suite, the lower deck houses four en-suite cabins. Two of these cabins are fitted with double beds and AV equipment, with one featuring a bath and the other a large shower. The remaining two cabins are slightly smaller, one of which features twin beds, offering additional sleeping arrangements.
Crew accommodations are extensive, with the capacity to house a professional team of 12 comfortably. The crew area includes a mess, laundry facilities, and three cabins with bunk beds, each equipped with en-suite facilities. Additional crew accommodations are located in the engineering space, offering further private quarters with en-suites, ensuring the yacht's operations run smoothly.
The captain's cabin is situated on the upper deck near the wheelhouse and is of a quality that could serve as an overflow guest cabin if necessary, complete with an en-suite and desk.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 B) 12-cylinder 2,250hp engines running at 1925rpm, motor yacht Bad Romance V is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 60,567 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
