Construction started in mid 2007 with the keel laid under the project name 'Corrie Lynn'. Launched in June 2009 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 2009.
Exterior Design
Bacarella's deck is crafted from teak, delivering a classic and timeless appearance while offering excellent durability and resistance to the elements. The yacht's exterior color scheme is straightforward yet sophisticated. The hull and superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and cohesive look. The boot top and antifoul colors are black, providing a sharp contrast that enhances the overall visual impact.
The exterior features five decks, each contributing to the vessel's overall sense of space. The wide transom platform allows for straightforward boarding, leading to the large aft deck equipped with an intimate seating area around twin cocktail tables.
The bridge deck is designed for sunbathing and includes a sun pad-surrounded spa, a bar, and sun loungers. The area under the air-conditioned hardtop can be converted from a dining area to an on-deck gymnasium, providing flexibility in use. The bridge deck aft serves as a relaxation zone with informal seating and a recessed bar.
Interior Design
Entering from the wide transom platform, guests are greeted by a large aft deck with an intimate seating area. The saloon, accessible from this point, gives an impression of spaciousness due to its expansive layout. Custom-designed pieces by Bannenberg & Rowell, such as a driftwood and bronze console table and a glass and white oak coffee table, add unique elements to the space. The seating in the saloon is tailored for comfort, with sofas set at a slightly lower height to enhance relaxation.
The dining saloon, capable of accommodating 12 guests, is accessed through electric, sliding, curved-glass doors. The custom dining table features a perimeter of opaque glass, illuminated from below. The area includes ornate wrought-bronze doors housing wine racks for 200 bottles and limestone counters for buffet service. Adjacent to the dining area, the galley is designed to meet the needs of a gourmet chef, equipped with a restaurant-size walk-in refrigerator, an eight-burner/two-oven Vulcan stove, and six Sub-Zero freezer drawers. The galley layout also includes a dedicated work area for servers, a foot-triggered door for direct access to the dining area, and a dumbwaiter for servicing the upper decks.
The upper saloon on the bridge deck serves as the yacht's main relaxation zone. It features generous seating options and a recessed bar fronted with plaited stone panels. The bar top is set at chair height to maintain an unobstructed view through the large windows and integrate seamlessly with the rest of the room. Forward, the bridge is equipped with VEI monitors, Stidd helm chairs, and a settee. Just behind the settee, a ship's office includes duplicate navigation instruments, space for charts, books, and a computer.
The captain's cabin, located behind the pilothouse, includes a double berth, private head, settee, and desk, ensuring functional living quarters. A full-service pantry with four fridge drawers is also situated behind the pilothouse to serve the upper saloon and flying bridge efficiently.
The materials chosen for Bacarella's interior reflect an emphasis on tactile qualities and subtle visual impact. The use of elm, limestone, slate, bronze, and glass creates an atmosphere that is both dramatic and soothing. Woven wall coverings and limestone flooring are examples of the thoughtful selection of materials, prioritizing texture and color harmony.
Accommodation
Bacarella offers accommodation for a total of 12 guests in six cabins. The master suite, situated on the main deck, features four tall elliptical windows on each side, offering ample natural light and a connection to the sea. The central king-size bed is complemented by linen antimacassars set into a leather headboard, with limestone-topped nightstands flanking either side. Additional furnishings include a chaise longue, a desk, and a sofa finished in a textured weave. The suite's ensuite bathroom is expansive, featuring a slate 'pavement' that extends to a sunken infinity spa tub and an immense rain shower that doubles as a steam room. A switchable opaque window adds an extra layer of privacy.
The lower deck hosts the remaining guest cabins. A VIP suite spans the full beam of the yacht amidships. It offers his and hers ensuite bathrooms separated by a shared shower. The other four guest cabins are located on either side of a central passage, finished in three shades of limestone. These cabins also feature spa-like ensuites with calming mosaics and limestone finishes, ensuring a tranquil retreat for each guest.
he is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew. A dedicated 'silent-service' stairwell allows the crew to move between decks without intruding on guest areas.
