Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 33'6" beam and a 7'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 782 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2008. Launched in November 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2012.
Exterior Design
Liberty features a raked bow, which not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also improves navigational efficiency. The deck is crafted from teak, providing a sturdy and classic surface for outdoor activities. The hull and superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and timeless look. Contrasting this, the boot top and the area below the waterline are painted black, adding a distinct touch to the yacht's appearance.
The aft deck features a large dining table capable of seating 12 guests, with easy access for the crew through spacious side decks leading from the main-deck galley. This area is designed to offer wind protection, ensuring a comfortable dining experience regardless of weather conditions.
All exterior areas on Liberty have overhead air conditioning and heating systems, providing a comfortable environment for guests throughout their stay. The sun deck features a jacuzzi. The aft section of the sun deck includes disco lights, making it an ideal space for entertainment. A full glass windbreak is installed just aft of the spa pool and sun lounges, offering shelter and comfort to guests relaxing at the bar.
Interior Design
As guests enter from the aft deck, they are greeted by a comfortable bar area to port. This space was created with a welcoming atmosphere in mind. Adjacent to the bar is a stairwell featuring etched glass pieces and LED lighting, adding a modern touch to the area. The door to the pilothouse is designed to maintain the upper salon as a contained space without visibility forward to the bridge, ensuring privacy and a distinct separation of areas.
The bridge deck level stands out with its exquisite stonework. Marble is prominently featured, both as an inlay in the foyer and covering the surfaces of the skylounge. The skylounge itself is a departure from the rest of the yacht in terms of styling. It features pearlized lacquer, leather, sculpted carpeting in blues, silvers, and cream, a wood floor inlay by Czar Floors, and hand-carved Art Deco-style panels by Florida-based artist Ken Salowe.
Accommodation
Liberty offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins. The layout includes a master suite, three double cabins, and a convertible cabin. The master suite is situated on the main deck forward and incorporates an office. This suite is designed for comfort and privacy, offering ample space and refined furnishings.
On the lower deck, four large king-size staterooms are available. These staterooms feature enlarged portholes that have been replaced with big picture windows, which can be covered by blackout curtains for privacy. Each stateroom is equipped with a large bathroom, complete with double sinks.
A sixth, smaller stateroom is located on the bridge deck behind the pilothouse. This room is equipped with a Murphy Bed and is set up as a gym, providing flexibility to guests who may wish to use it as either a sleeping area or a workout space.
Liberty is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard. The captain's quarters are situated on the main deck and are finished to guest standards. This arrangement provides the captain with a spacious alcove behind the bridge, ideal for chart plotting, storing manuals, and office work.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516C HD) 16-cylinder 3,384hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Liberty is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 22,898 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,360 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
