First Hybrid Admiral Panorama 53m Superyacht Enters Outfitting Stage

The inaugural hybrid superyacht of the Admiral 50 line boasts an e-MOTION hybrid propulsion system with MAN diesel engines, variable-speed generators, and lithium polymer batteries.

The Italian Sea Group (TISG) has provided build updates on its first hybrid Admiral Panorama 53m superyacht, marking the third hull in the semi-custom Admiral 50 range.

Currently under construction at the Marina di Carrara shipyard in Italy, the aluminum hull and superstructure of the 499 GT motor yacht are progressing well, with systems installation and optimization underway. The outfitting phase is also in progress, ensuring the superyacht stays on schedule for delivery at the end of 2025.

Equipped with the e-MOTION hybrid propulsion system, the Admiral Panorama 53m superyacht features two MAN diesel engines, four variable-speed generators, two permanent magnet electric motors, and a large lithium polymer battery pack.

This system offers multiple operating modes to enhance efficiency and sustainability. It allows navigation with the generators off, reducing fuel consumption, and enables zero-emission operation for around eight hours, minimizing noise and vibration. The hybrid system also facilitates port entry in electric mode and provides seamless power management during temporary shore power loss, preventing blackouts.

This fully aluminum, shallow-draft superyacht, the first hybrid model in the Admiral 50 line, confirms our ongoing commitment to sustainability. I am particularly proud that today, indeed, most of our projects focus on hybrid innovation.”
