The 55m motor yacht Gigagi was delivered to her owners in 2016 by Dutch shipyard Amels. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Tim Heywood Design, while her interiors are the work of Laura Sessa Romboli.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.4m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 707 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the tenth yacht built on the Amels 180 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2016.

Accommodation

Gigagi offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M70) 1,408hp engines, motor yacht Gigagi is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 115,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Gigagi also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.

Openness and flexibility are key themes of the Amels 180 range. The balconies either side of the main-deck salon are a tremendous feature that really brings the outside in, especially for gatherings at the formal dining area
