Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.46m beam and a 3.85m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,790 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

This was the second yacht built on the Amels 242 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in February 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

New Secret features a sundeck that is both functional and inviting, with a spa pool and a mast that provides shade to the guest areas. Practicality is maintained with the inclusion of a cabin on the bridge deck designated for a helicopter pilot, catering to the needs of guests who prioritize convenience and accessibility.

The main deck aft hosts a remarkable eight-meter-long swimming pool, which, despite its size, is integrated into the 180 square meter deck without dominating the space. Instead, it enhances the area, complemented by sun loungers, armchairs, coffee tables, and a strategically positioned bar on the port side. This thoughtful placement ensures an uninterrupted visual link between the main salon and the surrounding sea.

Access to the main salon is through curved glass doors that retract to such an extent that the transition from exterior to interior is barely perceptible.

The yacht's silhouette is defined by dynamic lines, with New Secret's superstructure crafted from aluminum, allowing for a flexible design that accommodates specific owner requests such as an expanded helipad.

The materials used onboard New Secret—rippled sycamore, soft carpets, polished stone, bleached teak, and selenite gypsum crystal—combine to create an environment that is visually appealing and conducive to the well-being of its occupants.

Interior Design

The interior of New Secret is a study in the art of subtlety and sophistication, achieved through a palette of limited color tones and carefully selected materials. The main saloon sets the tone with its fusion of curved and linear design elements. The space is defined by the use of rippled sycamore veneer, present even on the aluminum door frames, to ensure visual and tactile continuity.

Furniture within the main saloon is arranged to promote interaction, with convex and concave shapes creating an inviting atmosphere. The dining area is distinguished by its sculptural columns and circular motifs, including a striking dark gloss walnut table with an integrated lazy susan. This area is atmospherically lit by concealed rings of light in the ceiling, adding to the ambiance without overpowering the senses. The walls feature a solar system-inspired art installation against a pearlescent selenite gypsum crystal backdrop, while the floor juxtaposes a grey-brown polished stone circle against the surrounding bleached teak.

Throughout the yacht, attention to detail is evident in the finishing touches. The use of soft sunburst-patterned Tai Ping carpets adds a layer of visual interest and tactile comfort. Extra-thick doors with backlit fabric inserts contribute to the overall sense of tranquility, ensuring a velvety silence pervades the guest suites. The integration of nature is evident in the bathrooms, where water-blasted stone lining the walls creates a tactile, sand-rippled effect, enhancing the connection with the surrounding marine environment.

The wellness area on the lower deck features a spa pool sculpted from sand-colored travertine that blends with the flooring, while a green glass waterfall serves as a functional and aesthetic partition. The area's design extends to the sauna, which features a window to maintain a visual link with the sea. Additional amenities include a massage room, a gym, a steam room, and a juice bar, all designed to provide a comprehensive wellness experience.

Lighting throughout New Secret is carefully considered, with integrated technological solutions allowing for atmospheric changes at the touch of a tablet. The inclusion of flat screens that descend silently from ceilings and service doors that are indistinguishable from the decor exemplifies the yacht's design philosophy—one of understated elegance and functionality.

Accommodation

New Secret offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites comprising an owners cabin, two VIP cabins, two double cabins and one twin cabin.

Structured with an emphasis on space and natural light, the owner's suite incorporates a unique onyx partition that doubles as a headboard, adding a distinct, sculptural quality to the room. The suite also boasts a private foredeck, ensuring seclusion and uninterrupted vistas of the ocean.

Guest accommodation is characterized by two main deck VIP suites, which are designed to optimize the inflow of natural light and views through expansive hull windows. The ambiance within these suites is one of tranquility, further enhanced by carefully selected materials and finishes that contribute to a serene environment. Attention to acoustic comfort is evident, with extra-thick doors and soft textiles contributing to a hushed atmosphere.

In terms of crew accommodation, New Secret  is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard. Notably, the yacht houses a dedicated cabin for a helicopter pilot on the bridge deck.
