Amels launch hull six of its 74m Limited Editions 242

Dutch shipyard Amels have announced the successful launch of the sixth hull from the Limited Editions 242 series.

Touching the waters at the Amels' and Damen's facility in Romania, the latest 74 metre vessel is currently on schedule for an Autumn 2021 delivery.

Officially known as Project 7406, the vessel features exterior designs by Tim Heywood which combine a slightly sporty aesthetic with striking elegance. 

Now ready to begin outfitting, the model has a Gross Tonnage of 1,790 GT and several key features worth noting, including a 6.5m infinity pool. 

A fold out swim platform aft creates additional space for a waterside terrace and easy access to the water, accompanied by a full beam wellness centre for all round relaxation onboard.

In addition to the premium facilities for guests, an exclusive owner's deck of 240 square metres provides private facilities, with the inclusion of a huge suite.

Overnight accommodation onboard for up to 12 guests is reported to comprise of a six-suite layout, including the advertised voluminous owner's suite. Further accommodation listed for the 242 are a pair of VIP suites on the main deck, plus a trio of lower deck suites.

Working through the difficult times with the dominant presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Managing Director of Damen and Amels, Rose Damen has confirmed that work continues with extra measures in place to ensure the safety of all workers and clients at their facilities.
