Seadeck is the first hybrid series of motor yachts and the most efficient ever designed by Italian builder Azimut. These yachts introduce a new concept, utilizing technological solutions to 'return to nature' through extensive use of recycled and recyclable materials, aiming to reduce emissions by up to 40%.
Introduced as the world’s first range of low-emission yachts, Azimut's Seadeck series incorporates a higher percentage of sustainable materials and is designed for fuel efficiency. The debut model, Seadeck 6, is a 17.5m (57.5ft) coupé-style cruiser featuring a hull made from recycled bottles, a deck covered in sustainably harvested cork, and carpets woven from recycled plastics.
Beyond the environmentally sustainable design, the Seadeck features a special highlight: the 'fun island,' enhancing the onboard family cruising experience by completely opening up the aft lounge to embrace the sea.
The Azimut Seadeck 6 will be available for sale at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024.
Yacht buyers can choose between three Volvo Penta IPS500 (380hp) or IPS650 (480hp) engines, providing a maximum speed potential of 33 knots.
The Seadeck 6 features three guest cabins and one dedicated crew cabin. The holistic design concept is achieved through the collaboration between Alberto Mancini and Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez. The exterior showcases clean lines, with an emphasis on the open design of the aft cockpit and connection to the water.
Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez make their yachting debut with interior styling, focusing on the essence of space with ample natural light and gentle natural materials. The interior features neutral colors and open-pored materials, creating a peaceful environment.
The yacht features an extensive use of carbon fiber in the superstructure, deck, and bathing platform, keeping its weight down to 27 tons. Instead of the usual larger shaft drive engines found on most 60-footers, the yacht is equipped with a choice of triple IPS drives.
Additionally, the yacht includes a mild hybrid 42kWh lithium battery pack. This battery pack allows the yacht's systems, such as air conditioning and gyro stabilization (excluding the propellers), to operate without a generator for up to eight hours at night and four hours during the day.
