The first SeaXplorer 77 hull, explorer yacht La Datcha, has left Dutch shipyard Damen, on her way to an Owner who plans to use her for diverse and adventurous chartering.
Part of the yard’s SeaXplorer range, construction on the 2,560 Gross Tonne superyacht began in mid-2018, with outfitting following a year later, before her launch in July 2020.
Her exterior was designed by Azure Naval Architects, while Vasiliy Sphrits penned an interior created to accommodate up to 12 guests in complete luxury, with provision for 25 crew.
Thanks in part to her ice-class steel displacement hull, explorer yacht La Datcha will offer her guests true global capability, from heli-skiing in Kamchatka to scuba diving off the coast of Papua New Guinea and anything in between.
The Owner’s vision was for her to “set out on the journey of a lifetime to places others can't reach – exclusive adventures to share with friends and family in total comfort, style and safety.”
Damen describes the end result as the “ultimate crossover”, uniting the rugged performance of an explorer yacht with superyacht-worthy levels of comfort and charm.
She can carry enough fuel for up to forty days cruising, while amenities for adventurous guests include two helicopters, a helipad with an accompanying hangar on the giant main deck aft, two tender garages and a dive centre.

Inside, ‘La Datcha’ has a massage room, a sauna and a fully equipped gym, while an open-air Jacuzzi can be found on the upper deck aft.
The delivery comes shortly after Damen finished a ten-month-long refit of ‘Game Changer’, a 72m (236ft) expedition yacht that had recently completed a 50,000-nautical-mile circumnavigation.
