The 15m (50') Ferretti 500 was honoured in the “Best Interior Design” 13.7 - 19.5m category, while the 21m (70') Pershing 7X and the 62m (204') CRN motor yacht VOICE took home the gold for “Best Exterior Design” in their respective classes.
Held annually in September at the Intercontinental Carlton, the World Yacht Awards honor a range of aspects of yacht design and innovation, with categories including layout, evolution, revelations, and Custom.
Thirty trophies were handed out at the 19th edition of the awards, as voted on by journalists and industry insiders.
Alongside wins for Benetti's 107m (353') motor yacht LUMINOSITY and Nobiskrug's eye-catching 80m (263') superyacht ARTEFACT, Ferretti Group took home three coveted awards in the interior and exterior design categories across three of their shipyard divisions.
Ferretti 500: Best Interior Design (13.7m - 19.5m)
The Ferretti 500 won Best Interiors in the 13.7m-to-19.5m (45-to-64’) division.
Currently in production, the 500 is the new entry-level model in the Ferretti range. It undercuts the 17m (55’) 550 in both size and price, costing €860,000 ($1,010,000). Its exterior was penned by Filippo Salvetti, while Ideaitalia designed the interior.
The 500’s flybridge combines a helm with a large sunning area and, aft, generous amounts of seating.
For those in the market to buy a new Ferretti 500, this model has plenty of customization options. Owners can choose between having two cabins with ensuites and a utility space, or having three cabins and two separate heads. The main salon has an intimate lounge area and stowage space, and this area can be finished in either light or dark tones.
The 500 is powered by two Cummins engines, with a total output of 1,100hp. The yacht has a 30-knot top speed and, at 25 knots, an estimated range of 200 nautical miles.
Pershing 7X: Best Exterior Design, (19.5-24m)
Meanwhile, the Pershing 7X sailed away with the “Best Exterior Design” prize, winning in the 19.5-to-24m (64-to-80’) category.
The 21m (69’) sports yacht has a sleek and lightweight carbon fibre exterior, penned by Italian Fulvio De Simoni. Both the foredeck and main deck aft have their own spacious sunning areas.
Below deck, the 7X comes with a galley and three en-suite guest cabins. Should the Owner choose, the crew cabin can be removed to extend the galley and give it its own seating area and table. Either way, this Pershing model can accommodate six guests.
The 7X uses two MAN V12 engines to produce a total output of 3,600hp. Its top speed is an impressive 50 knots, while cruising speed is 42 knots and the model maximum range comes in 300 nautical miles.
VOICE: Best Exterior Design (50m- 82m)
Another “Best Exterior Design” trophy went to VOICE, who competed in the 50-to-82m (164-to-270’) class.
The custom superyacht was built by CRN and delivered to her owner earlier this year. Exterior and interior design were handled by Italian studio Nuvolari & Lenard.
Her award-winning exterior is built in steel and aluminum superstructure. The yacht has five decks and at-anchor stabilizers, increasing onboard comfort when not underway.
The superyacht's sundeck features a jacuzzi and sunning pads can be found both forward and aft.
VOICE has six guest cabins, providing accommodation for up to twelve guests. Her upper deck is a space exclusively reserved for the owner, with an en-suite and a lounge that has a panoramic sea view.
The Custom yacht boasts twin engines which give 4,022hp and a top speed of 16 knots.
The twentieth edition of the World Yachts Trophies is expected to once again take place in Cannes in September 2021.
