First Arcadia Yachts model enters the Australian market

The first Arcadia Yachts model has entered the Australian market in the form of the 18m (59') Arcadia Sherpa, which will reach its owner in a few weeks’ time.

The ninth Sherpa to be launched, and the first in Australia, will feature a large owner’s suite, rather than its standard two cabin layout. The second cabin being replaced by the owner’s living room/lounge area, which can also be used by guests.

The vessel differs slightly from other Sherpas for sale, by virtue of some additional luxurious touches added at the owner’s request, including two refrigerators, an ice maker and a wine cellar, all to ensure a truly convivial atmosphere for guests.

Amongst all yachts for sale, there is no other that devotes as much of its hull length to outside entertaining and relaxing as the Arcadia Sherpa does. For a compact size yacht it has an enormous aft deck of nearly 50 sq. metres.

The owner has chosen SHERPA because of the aft cockpit’s wonderful layout. This allows him to have a very large liveable area to fully enjoy daily outings, even when there are many guests aboard. The decision to have the version with one cabin was taken in order to maximise open areas and to be able to sleep at anchor at the same time. Additionally, in Australia owners usually steer their own yacht, so there is no need to have a crew cabin.

There is also a striking amount of volume below the main deck, where you will find 23,000 liters of storage space. This is enough space to house a tender and jet ski at the same time with space left over for other toys and canned food and beverages.

The large open layout of the Sherpa means air circulates freely, reducing the need for air conditioning. Solar panels are integrated into the upper frame which reduces the need for generators and thermally-insulated windows and a high-efficiency semi-displacement hull all add to the eco-friendly nature of the yacht.

Twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines ensure a maximum speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots.
