Sanlorenzo has announced the sale of the tenth hull from its Explorer line, making eight superyachts sales between 44m and 57m (144ft to 187ft) in just two and a half months for the Italian yard.
The latest sale of the 47m (154ft) 500Exp, was concluded after a long design process between Sanlorenzo and the Greek Owner who is described as being from “the top tier of commercial shipping”.
The 500Exp is an evolution of Sanlorenzo’s 460Exp, a model that was equally popular as its successor. It offers accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins.
The sub 500GT vessel combines superyacht luxury with true go-anywhere explorer performance, thanks to a 4,000nm range and the ability to store tenders or sailing boats of up to 9m (29ft) in the stern and the option to store a submarine or seaplane and board and add a touch-and-go landing platform for a helicopter.
The lower deck is where the opulence of a superyacht comes into play with a large beach club, with an opening hatch for connection to the sea. She also sports a heated swimming pool and a skylounge with far-reaching views.
After recently celebrating the launches of two 44 Alloy yachts and a 52Steel, Sanlorenzo has confirmed its reputation as one of the busiest shipyards in recent years with the latest sale making it eight superyachts between 44m and 57m (144ft to 187ft) sold in two and a half months.
With a staggering 116 further yachts in the order book and set to be delivered by 2024, then we can expect to see plenty more launches from the Ligurian-Tuscan shipyard over the coming months and years.
