Repaint Caps Transformation for 60m Lurssen Superyacht OASIS

OASIS, a 60m (197ft) Lürssen superyacht, returns to the water with a fresh look after a comprehensive makeover

The 60m (197ft) Lürssen superyacht OASIS has undergone a complete transformation, emerging from a six-month repaint at the Italian shipyard Lusben. This exterior update follows an award-winning interior refit in 2019. As one of the leading builders of the world’s biggest yachts, Lürssen ensures OASIS is now fully revitalized for the summer cruising season.

The 2,300 square meter surface of the motor yacht was repainted over a six-month period, with the class of the yacht also being renewed.

The Owner and captain revealed they had considered four other shipyards for the refit but chose Lusben, citing its ‘consistent costs’ and the ’geographical position of the cutting-edge facilities’.

The completion of the repaint crowns a complete transformation for the 1,213GT yacht. In 2019 Italian based FM Architettura completed an extensive refit of the superyacht’s interiors, with a brief to turn the yacht into a family retreat to suit the lifestyle of three generations.

The work was enough for OASIS to win the Best Refit category at the World Superyacht Awards last year. Judges called the refit ‘remarkable’ and noted that FM Architettura had “remodelled and transformed a tired interior – using lots of Italian leather and sanding down glossy maple burr to leave a more contemporary matt finish – and redesigned the sundeck to suit the lifestyle of the new owners.“

Delivered in 2006, superyacht OASIS features an eye-catching three-tiered exterior and a timelessly styled interior. In the past, she has been a very popular charter yacht thanks to features such as her 99 square meter master suite and a sundeck with a large jacuzzi, extensive gym, cinema, and open-air dancefloor.

OASIS can sleep up to 12 guests across six staterooms and has a range of 5,800nm at 13 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. She has now been redelivered to her Owner in time for the summer cruising season.
