Sunseeker unveiled the first of its ‘famous five’ global premieres recently with the Manhattan 55 and Predator 55 EVO taking the spotlight.
The premieres took place on the British builder’s YouTube channel, with viewers getting the chance to meet the team behind the build of the yachts, view unseen footage from the build process and more.
Over the coming weeks its 65 Sport Yacht, 88 Yacht and 90 Ocean will be getting the same treatment as Sunseeker gives each of the five models it announced at the end of 2020 their time in the spotlight.
Andrea Frabetti, Chief Executive Officer of Sunseeker introduced the premiere and there was a brief look at the history and heritage of Sunseeker before the attention turned to the two new models.
Gemma Knill, Product Manager for the 17.21m (56.5ft) Manhattan 55, talked about the latest addition to the Manhattan range and revealed that Sunseeker is building 22 Manhattan 55s a year, the equivalent of one every 12 working days.
The idea behind the Manhattan 55 was to build on the practicality of the layout the Manhattan 52 offers, with the shipyard calling the process an ‘evolution not revolution’. Attention was drawn to a number of subtle features, such as detailing on the pulpit rails, and the customizable interior with a choice of colors and finishes being available.
Other highlights that were on view were her three large cabins, bathing platform with beach club aft and a powered glass cockpit/galley window that can be electronically lowered to seamlessly connect with outdoor spaces.
Andrea Frabetti, CEO at Sunseeker International, said: “The Manhattan 52 has been our fastest-selling model in Sunseeker history, and so I am delighted to be bringing the all-new Manhattan 55 to market, building on this incredible success. The team has excelled in developing this beautiful new model, packed with new technology, ingenious design features and exceptional detailing, both inside and out. It’s exquisite - perfecting perfection.”
The Predator 55 EVO, with its sleek profile and signature windows, was introduced by Ross Donohoe, the Technical Sales Manager for the model. He revealed that the entire design centered around socializing and entertaining and showcased the carbon fibre opening roof that allows the 17.05m (55ft) 55 EVO to be either enclosed or have an open sports boat element.
The new transom design with a seat adding into the moulding was highlighted as was the airy two-cabin accommodation and the spacious galley.
Andrea Frabetti, CEO of Sunseeker International added, regarding the Predator 55 EVO: “Following the continued phenomenal success of our Predator range, we are delighted to have developed another new model in this series, which blends stylish design, innovative technology and sporty looks both on the water and throughout its interior design. The Predator 55 EVO™ utilises innovative technology, beautiful detailing and performance systems throughout and we have no doubt this model will dominate its segment.”
The 65 Sport Yacht, 88 Yacht and 90 Ocean will all be showcased in the following weeks and we will bring you all the details here at YachtBuyer.
