South Africa-based builder Two Oceans Marine has launched its inaugural 870 Power Catamaran, a 27m (87ft) custom multihull yacht crafted in collaboration with Du Toit Yacht Design.
To facilitate its launch, a custom-designed transport rig was made to transport the catamaran from the factory to the quayside. Remarkably, the Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran boasts the largest beam (13.42m), highest air draft (13.85m), and greatest displacement of any catamaran ever launched and transported on a public road in South Africa.
The layout of the Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran cleverly integrates functionality with luxury across its four decks, striking a perfect balance between social spaces and private retreats. Upon boarding the new multihull yacht, guests are greeted with superior-quality finishes. The interior showcases exquisite craftsmanship, blending premium materials with elegant design.
The main deck's saloon is not only a gathering place but an entertainment hub, featuring a lounge, TV room, and dining area for moments of relaxation and joy. The galley, equipped with top-tier appliances, makes every culinary adventure a delight, while the aft cockpit features a large teak dining table perfect for al fresco dining with family and friends.
The upper-level flybridge is designed to maximize ocean views, offering a spacious lounge area with a well-appointed bar and a nap station.
Supported by a beam of 13m (44ft), the new yacht is designed for hospitality, with the lower deck's VIP and guest staterooms offering privacy and comfort, with meticulous attention to detail enhancing the guest experience.
Each hull accommodates two guest staterooms complete with ensuite bathrooms. The owner’s stateroom occupies the upper deck, offering a personal haven with walk-in closets, a coffee station, and a secluded aft cockpit.
Crew operations are seamlessly integrated, with quarters located on the main deck that provide comfortable accommodations for two crew members per hull.
The motor yacht also offers a setup for tenders and water toys. A hydraulic crane/davit system facilitates the storage of the tender on the owner’s deck, while the foredeck houses two jetskis launched by a dedicated crane. This versatile space also accommodates a variety of water toys and equipment, including dive compressors.
