Prometheus I is a 44m motor yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Heesen in 1997. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Diaship Design, while Art Line is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.8m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 409 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 1994. She was delivered to her owners in April 1997.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Prometheus I is functional and straightforward. The yacht features a raked bow that cuts through the water efficiently. The hull is painted in a beige color, while the superstructure is white, providing a clear visual contrast. A red boot top stripe adds a touch of color above the waterline, with the area below painted black for a traditional nautical look.
The deck is made from teak, chosen for its durability and classic appearance. The sun deck provides open areas for relaxation, with seating forward and an optional umbrella for shade. A teak bar is located amidships, and a circular Jacuzzi spa tub is surrounded by sun pads, offering a place to unwind.
The aft deck is spacious, with multiple seating areas and a large dining table, suitable for outdoor meals and gatherings. It is shielded from the sun by the overhang from the deck above. The transom hinges down to open the tender garage, creating a swim platform and beach club. This area allows easy access to the yacht's water sports equipment and toys, such as Jet Skis, water skis, a seabob, kayaks, and snorkeling gear.
Interior Design
The interior design of Prometheus I is focused on functionality and comfort. The materials used are selected for their durability and aesthetic appeal. The main saloon features an open-plan layout with a lounge area located aft. This area is equipped with forward-facing seating and a large screen television, creating a practical space for relaxation and entertainment. The galley, positioned forward to port, offers direct access to the formal dining area, ensuring efficient meal service and preparation.
On the upper deck, the informal skylounge is designed for recreational activities. It includes a bar, a games table, and ample seating, providing a versatile space for guests to unwind. The helm is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and control systems, ensuring smooth and safe operation of the yacht.
Accommodation
Prometheus I offers accommodations for up to 12 guests across five well-appointed staterooms. The main deck houses a full-beam master cabin, which includes a private office and his-and-her bathrooms, providing a high level of comfort and privacy for the owner. On the lower deck, there are two double VIP cabins as well as two additional double cabins, each equipped with single beds. This configuration ensures ample and flexible sleeping arrangements for guests.
The yacht also includes quarters for a crew of nine, ensuring professional service and maintenance throughout your voyage. The crew accommodations feature a captain's cabin located on the bridge deck.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V396 TE94) 3,003hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Prometheus I is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 66,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,200 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Prometheus I also features an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
