The 190'3" motor yacht Marun was delivered to her owners in 2006 by Dutch shipyard Amels. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Winch Design, while Amels is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 32'10" beam and a 11'7" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 923 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The yacht stands out for her timeless exterior profile, characterized by a sharply raked bow leading to a functional foredeck prioritizing storage for a tender, personal watercraft, and a launching crane. Twin teak walkways provide access to the upper deck's side decks. Elongated oval portholes adorn the white hull, inviting natural light into the lower deck interior spaces.

A smart black bootstrap defines the water's edge, while a prominent strake at amidships extends aft to the sharply angled stern. Extensive glazing on the main and upper decks creates a striking contrast against the white superstructure, illuminating the yacht's interiors. The sun deck features a sloped angle side panel leading to the radar mast, enhancing its forward-flowing dynamic. Side balconies drop down to offer additional guest space.

An elevator connects all four decks for easy access throughout the yacht. The sun deck provides ample guest space with twin bench seating forward of a circular jacuzzi area, surrounded by teak inset and sun pads. A curvilinear canopy over a seating area offers shade, with the flexibility of opening slats in the canopy above.

At the closed stern, the beach club is revealed when the transom door is lowered. The access staircase is wide and central from the main deck aft.

Interior Design

The interior of the Amels yacht Astrid Conroy showcases a palette of rich cream and chocolate brown, complemented by textured fabrics and luxurious leather accents. A cream rug with delicate linear patterns graces the wooden flooring, while blue-patterned curtains provide privacy when needed, framing the large sections of glazing.

Linear wood flooring patterns, blending dark and mid-tones with light trim, embellish the interior walkways, adding depth and visual interest. Focal features, such as a large ornate leaf-trimmed mirror near the elevator and signature bar stools by the white marble bar, enhance the yacht's elegance.

In the second salon, a spacious circular seating area in cream introduces soft blue and turquoise tones, with a bespoke carpet seamlessly following the flow of the seating arrangement, further enriching the yacht's sophisticated ambiance.

Accommodation

Accommodation for 12 guests is available in six double staterooms, each featuring a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom, with an additional two children's size Pullman bunk beds situated in designated areas. The owner's cabin boasts a king-size bed, walk-in closet, twin ensuite bathrooms, and a study, while the five guest cabins offer king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms.

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B DITA) 2,375hp engines, motor yacht Marun is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 31,701 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,800 nautical miles at 12 knots.
