Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 3.83m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 537 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of the yacht MMM is straightforward and functional, reflecting its purpose as an explorer vessel. The bow is short and angular, designed to cut through rough seas efficiently. The balance between the bow and superstructure gives the yacht a rugged appearance, emphasizing its capability to navigate challenging waters.
The Portuguese bridge on MMM is notably large, providing an excellent vantage point for guests to enjoy views while entering or leaving ports. The vessel also features a crow's nest, which is a practical addition for observation purposes, adding to its functionality as an explorer yacht.
At the stern, the deck space is utilized effectively. The helicopter deck is spacious enough for a helicopter to be stored permanently, with additional space on the starboard side for a tender. Underneath the flight deck, a garage has been incorporated to store at least two tenders, optimizing the use of space for equipment and vehicles necessary for exploration.
Midships, the yacht accommodates two jet skis, demonstrating efficient storage solutions. There is also room for an additional tender on the bow. The sundeck, positioned above the wheelhouse, offers a clear layout that aligns with the yacht's explorer profile. The launch and recovery system is well-integrated into the design, providing practical and discreet functionality.
Interior Design
The interior design of the explorer yacht MMM is crafted to support her function as a global cruiser. The use of durable materials is evident throughout the vessel, ensuring that the yacht can withstand the rigors of extensive travel.
The galley is designed for efficiency and practicality, equipped with modern appliances that cater to the needs of long voyages. Its layout allows for easy movement and operation, supporting the demands of both everyday meals and more elaborate dining experiences. The focus is on functionality, with ample storage and workspace to accommodate the requirements of extended journeys.
At the helm, the instrumentation is laid out for optimal accessibility, allowing the crew to manage the yacht efficiently. The helm is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and communication systems, ensuring that Karima is ready to handle any situation that arises while at sea.
