Amels and Imperial sign largest ever Dutch superyacht 120m 'Project Signature'

Amels and Imperial Yachts, in conjunction with Damen Yachting, have announced the signing of the largest superyacht to be built in the Netherlands, currently known as 'Project Signature'.

Predicting a 2025 delivery, Amels state 'Project Signature' is a 'green ecological superyacht' which is due to be constructed with technological compliance to the Lloyds Register of Shipping EP (Environment Protection) guidelines.

Designed between Espen Oeino and the in-house team at Amels, projected specifications of the largest build from Amels and Damen Yachting state the new megayacht will be powered by diesel-electric engines along with Azipod propulsion, producing 'the lowest level of noise and vibration ever experienced on a yacht of this size'.

As the second Oeino collaboration after the Amels 60, many details are yet to be revealed about 'Project Signature', however initial drawings unveil concepts of a spacious foredeck and a tri-deck design for abundant exterior living space, plus voluminous interiors.

On completion, the 120m yacht will be the largest addition to the fleet of Amels yachts for sale, taking over from the 83m (272') superyacht flagship 'Here Comes The Sun'.

'Project Signature' will be one of the most striking, silent and advanced superyachts ever delivered.
